This lamp is just beautiful. The milky green glass is a perfect match for my bedroom, and the size is exactly right for a nightstand. Medium and high put out plenty of light for reading, getting ready, or lighting up a decent portion of a room. I actually appreciate that because some decorative lamps are cute but barely useful. This one is definitely functional. Even through the milk glass, it is hard to look straight at it when it is on high.The touch control is convenient, too. Being able to tap through the three brightness levels instead of fumbling for a switch is one of those little features that quickly becomes something you don’t want to give up.The reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is the lowest brightness setting. On mine, the light noticeably flickers the entire time when it’s set to low. It doesn’t do it on medium or high at all, so I don’t think the lamp is generally defective, but unfortunately, low is the setting I would probably use the most. Medium and high are just too bright for casually sitting around at night, watching a movie, or wanting softer ambient lighting.And that’s what makes the flicker frustrating, the lowest setting should be the cozy setting. That’s when I want the warm, vintage glow without lighting the whole room up, but the constant flickering makes it distracting enough that I don’t really want to leave it there.Everything else about this lamp is a win for me. It looks beautiful, feels substantial, the shade is lovely, the touch feature works well, and the brighter settings are genuinely useful. If that lowest setting stayed steady, this would easily be a five-star lamp.I’m still keeping and using it because I love the look that much, but if you're looking specifically for that cozy nighttime light, keep in mind the low setting might struggle a bit.
