This light has a pretty good amount of power for its size and delivers the desired black light effect. The reason it gets 3 stars from me is that the product page advertises it as having a "tempered glass lens" however clearly the lens is constructed from poly carbonate or plastic material. The second reason is that this light gets hot pretty quickly and the metal is very thin so I would have liked to see some kind of heat sink on the back or fins to help the heat dissipate better. The light uses a grounded power cord and has an on/off switch which I appreciate. I like that the frame is made of metal even if it's a bit thin, heat builds up quickly and I wonder if this will affect the durability of the lamp in the long when left on for long periods. It has a metal bracket that can be positioned at various angles providing flexibility when mounting or positioning. For the price it's an excellent value as it performs well.

I put this black light flood light in my 12-year-old son’s room, and he is absolutely thrilled with it! It has completely changed the look and feel of his room, especially with anything fluorescent or glow-in-the-dark.The 50W output is impressive, and it provides plenty of coverage without needing multiple lights. The fluorescent colors really pop under the black light, creating a fun effect that my son absolutely loves. It would also be great for Halloween, glow parties, gaming spaces, or anywhere you want to add a little something different.I really like the adjustable bracket, because it makes it easy to direct the light exactly where we want it. The metal housing also feels sturdy and well made rather than like a lightweight novelty light. The long power cord is convenient, and having an on/off switch makes it simple to use.Another nice feature is that it can be used indoors or outdoors. We are currently using ours inside, but I like knowing it can handle outdoor conditions when needed.Overall, this has been such a fun addition to my son's room. The light is powerful, well built, and creates exactly the cool fluorescent effect we were hoping for. I cannot wait to get my Halloween decorations up! This little blacklight really brightens up the room and I cannot wait to see what it does when I get it up in my yard.Construction is solid. It has a on/off switch on the cord and a pretty good length. did fumble with it and it hit the table. There were no breaks. All the lights work. The joints are a little stiff at first but it is adjustable. You can place it on a table, floor or you can hang it from a wall if you wish. It is compact so you can discretely hide it in the garden if you wish. Very versatile.The lights are bright and do get a little warm after being used for a while. It is enough to light up most of my front yard or a 12'x14' room if placed in the right location.There were no flaws or issues. At this price point it is worth it.

Some products show up at my door and I immediately know they’re either going to be really cool… or end up collecting dust in the closet. 😂 Thankfully, this black light landed on the cool side of the spectrum.I plugged it in, waited a second, and suddenly everything that was neon, white, or UV-reactive started glowing like it had been secretly training for this moment. If you’re throwing a glow party, Halloween event, game room setup, or even decorating a man cave or beauty room, this thing definitely creates the vibe.One thing I wasn’t expecting? This light is BRIGHT. Like… “why is my white T-shirt suddenly the main character?” bright. It covered a much larger area than I thought a single 50W light would, and I didn’t have to constantly reposition it to get a decent glow.Now…fair warning. Black lights have a way of exposing things you didn’t ask to see. 😂 Suddenly every tiny speck of lint, dust, and mystery stain starts auditioning for center stage. I spent five minutes questioning my cleaning skills before remembering that’s literally what black lights do.The housing feels solid, the cord gave me enough length to work with, and I like that it can be used indoors or outside without feeling flimsy. Setup was basically plug it in and you’re ready to go.Why four stars instead of five? I wish the mounting bracket had a little more flexibility when aiming the light exactly where I wanted it. It’s not a deal breaker, but it would’ve made positioning a little easier.

This 50W LED blacklight flood light is a decent blacklight. Its light output distance reminds me of the old 12" fluorescent blacklight bulbs I used to use. It's enough light to illuminate a small area around the light, and to cause UV effects in a small room. It's not enough for anything bigger than a small room, however. That's typical of blacklights, though. I have a 48" fluorescent blacklight bulb that illuminates to approximately the same distance. The product page for this light says it illuminates a 23x23 foot area, but that's not considering falloff. By the time it reaches the end of that 23 feet, there's so little light that it doesn't have much effect. If it was talking about having the light in the center of the 23 foot area, that could be more realistic, but considering it's LEDs that only point forward, it can't illuminate from a central position like a fluorescent bulb can. The reality is that it illuminates approximately a 10x10 foot area.Pros:- It comes with an AC adapter.- It's compact and lightweight.- It has an in-line on/off switch.- It comes with a way to mount it to a ceiling or wall, which can double as a way to angle the light if it's sitting on a surface.Cons:- There is no app or remote control, so you're stuck having to use the inline power switch or ac adapter to turn it on or off..Conclusion:This 50W LED blacklight outputs approximately the same amount of light a similar sized fluorescent would. It's compact, lightweight, and easy to use and install. I just wish it came with a remote or app.
