I have desperately wanted a high-quality black light since I was a little kid hanging out at a hippie friend's house located way out in the sticks. I wasn't at all into the hippie movement, but I was completely transfixed by the eerie, supernatural vibe that a deep ultraviolet light brings to a room—especially an isolated space sitting right off the dark woods in the middle of nowhere. As a dedicated horror fan practically since birth, I love anything that uses creative stage lighting to construct an intense special effects atmosphere. Now that the city party circuit has slowed down, my new focus since moving back to the countryside is executing an incredible Halloween display for my two small nephews to enjoy during their trick-or-treating years. My thoughts on this powerful black light:>> Durable Construction: Despite its slim profile, the metal-framed housing and attached hinged stand is remarkably sturdy, along with the thick front lens and heavy-duty power cord.>> Wide-Angle Flood: This light features an advanced flat-screen design that houses 96 independent LEDs behind a thick tempered glass lens cover, projecting a massive, focused 120-degree beam angle.>> Character Illumination: The broad coverage is powerful enough to completely illuminate an average adult human from head to toe, making it perfect for lighting up skeletons, monster props, and zombie actors along a front porch creep walk.>> Weatherproofing with Constraints: The rugged metal chassis is fully waterproofed to confidently endure extreme outdoor weather elements spanning from -13°F up to a sweltering 113°F. Crucially, however, the simple inline rocker toggle switch and the power plug are not waterproof, so you must keep those components elevated out of ground puddles and direct moisture to avoid dangerous arcing or electrical injuries.>> Heat Dissipation: Operating at a true 100 watts, the heavy-duty body is designed with integrated cooling vents to dissipate thermal build-up. It still gets quite hot during extended use, so use care when adjusting it around curious kids.>> Rigging and Placement: The light is equipped with a versatile mounting handle bracket that rotates a full 360 degrees. It features pre-drilled suspension holes so you can easily bolt it to a wall, anchor it to the ground, or wire it onto a professional stage arm.>> The Fluorescent Glow: Operating within a tight 385–400nm wavelength, it does a phenomenal job of making neon paints, white fabrics, and glow-in-the-dark props pop with an unbelievable, hyper-bright fluorescent radiance.Bottom LineAn absolute home run of a commercial-grade lighting rig that is rated to last for up to 50,000 hours of continuous use. It features a robust 5-foot power cord and delivers pro-level atmospheric drama for stage shows, glow parties, or haunted houses at a killer $20 price point. Highest recommendation!

These will be used mostly for holiday light in one of the kids rooms, and gives a nice glow that can be left on at night. I also have smaller outside blacklight that is used for outdoor stuff, but it was something for me to compare the amount of light to in the spectrum. We have a pizza place we often visit that has a similar looking light mounted near a board that has specials listed on it (think school chalkboard size, very large) and that is what gave us the idea to get something like this for the kids to use in the house. They love walking past with a white or other bright (green works very well as does light blue and pink) color shirts to see the glow. The switch and cord design is a bit odd, but it does give a switch at least. I would prefer a switch on the light itself rather than the cord, as I use a remote plug to activate the light.I do wish the bracket was more of a stand type option rather than just a metal screw to the wall looking bracket. Since we don't intend to leave this mounted, it would be nice if there was say a snap on plastic base to give that brakes a bit more security. I used a little tape to hold in place, and that works for now, but not idea. I may use some more secure double side tape, or velcro to hold in place, but again, that is our use for temp mounting, and may not be for everyone.I assume these are LED and will last hopefully, forever.

This is a decent black light that does a good job at filling out the room .This lite seems well made and very sturdy. The frame is well made and hold the LED panel securely in place. it has a adjustable stand which i find is a nice touch. The panel it self does get warm so keep that in mind when using it.The cord is thick and well made and a decent length. The attached power switch works well and functions as intended. The light is bright and covers a really good amount of distance. In my image with the crow the light is 6 feet away in a room that is not totally dark. The blinds are actually open so there is a lot of outside light shining in. So it is very strong. In a complexly dark or partially room this light will have no problems what so ever. This light is compact but packs a punch as described in the add.I will add the frame also comes with mounting holes which is a great bonus.I cant comment on longevity as we have only had it and used it a little while. If it gives out on us I will update.

This black light exceeded my expectations. The 385-400nm wavelength produces a vibrant UV effect that makes fluorescent posters, body paint, decorations, and other UV-reactive materials really stand out without having to position them directly in front of the fixture.Brightness is excellent. It throws a wide, even wash of light across a surprisingly large area, making it a great choice for glow parties, displays, game rooms, Halloween decorations, or other larger spaces where you want strong UV coverage from a single fixture.Build quality is impressive. The metal housing feels durable, the glass lens is securely mounted, and the adjustable bracket makes it easy to aim the light exactly where you need it. I used it both sitting on the floor and mounted on a shelf, and it stayed firmly in position without drifting. The light also performs well during extended use. While it does get warm after running for a while, it never became excessively hot during my testing. As with any high-output light, it's best to leave a little airflow around it rather than placing it in a confined space. The weather-resistant housing is another nice feature, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Just remember that while the fixture itself is designed to handle the elements, the plug and inline switch should still be protected from moisture. My only real complaint is the power cord. At about five feet long, it's a bit shorter than I'd prefer, so I ended up using an extension cord when the nearest outlet wasn't close enough.Overall, this is a well-built, high-output UV floodlight that delivers excellent brightness, wide coverage, and solid construction. If you're looking for a dependable black light that can illuminate a large area and make UV-reactive materials really pop, this one is an excellent choice.

I used this black light for a small glow-themed setup and it was brighter than I expected. It throws a strong, even wash across a fairly wide area, and the fluorescent colors really pop once the room lights are down. For posters, body paint, and a few decorations, it made everything look much more vivid without needing a bunch of extra fixtures. The build feels solid. The housing has a metal feel to it, the glass front sits securely, and the bracket makes it easy to aim exactly where you want. I liked that I could tilt it and lock it in place without it wobbling around. It also seems like the kind of light that can be used indoors or outside without me worrying too much about a little moisture or dust. The only thing I noticed is that it does get warm after it has been on for a while, so I would not tuck it into a tight space with no airflow. It is also more intense than what you would want for a small bedroom if you are trying to keep things subtle. For a party, backdrop, or larger room, though, that brightness is exactly the point.Overall, this is a strong black light with good coverage and a sturdy feel. If you want one fixture that can handle a decent-sized area and make UV-reactive items stand out, this does the job well.

This thing puts out a serious amount of UV light for the price. The 100W output is no joke. Pointed it at a white wall and the glow effect is immediate and strong, which tells me the LED chips are actually doing their job and not just rated optimistically like some budget lights. The dark gray housing feels like it's built to last. Metal construction, decent weight to it. The casing runs warm but not alarming, and there are cooling fins along the body that seem to handle heat dissipation well. There's also a power cord already attached, which is nice since you don't need to hunt down extra hardware just to get it running. The flood light design means coverage is wide rather than narrow, so it works well for lighting up a larger space like a garage, room, or outdoor area for an event. Not ideal if you want a tight, focused beam on one specific spot. For UV-sensitive materials like fluorescent paints, neon fabrics, or glow-in-the-dark items, the output is strong enough to activate them from a decent distance. I'd say this suits anyone setting up a party space, escape room, or creative photo setup. Not gonna lie, at this wattage and with the metal build quality, it feels like a legitimate piece of gear rather than a throwaway party accessory. Good value for what it is.

It arrives feeling like a mistake. Ten inches by five, a thin metal shell, and light enough in the hand that you assume something was left out of the box. There is no power brick on the cord, which turns out to be the informative detail: this runs on AC directly, and a hundred watts has to go somewhere. A good deal of it goes into the housing, which gets genuinely warm after a while. Not frightening, and it is UL listed, but warm enough that I would not leave it running overnight, and warm enough to think about before mounting it somewhere a child will reach. What it does well is the exact thing you bought it for. This is real UV, not the purple tinted white light that cheap fixtures pass off as blacklight. Fluorescent posters, highlighter ink, neon costume pieces and body paint all lift off the wall the moment it comes on. One unit handles a decent sized room. Two, aimed from opposite sides, will cover a porch display without leaving dark corners.Calibrate your expectations on the word floodlight, though. It spreads across 120 degrees, so it is washing a whole wall rather than concentrating on one poster. A focused UV torch will out punch it on a single sticker at close range, and that is not a defect so much as a different tool. The build is straightforward: metal body, LED plate, tempered cover, adjustable bracket that holds its aim even sitting on the ground pointed upward. The cord is thick and about five feet, with an inline switch that beats crawling behind furniture to unplug it.Do not look into it. It is a hundred watts of ultraviolet and your eyes will not thank you.

I chose this Onforu black flood light in the 100w variant because I have an extensive green uranium glass collection and needed something that can cover it all. The included cable is decently long at ~5ft and the in-line power switch is a nice inclusion. Although I haven't tested the power of this one, it doesn't 'seem' very bright, so don't expect it to light up a room. However! At about 10 feet away, this made my wall of glass glow crazy bright, more than any other bulb or light I have tried. My only gripe about these is that the housing is made of incredibly thin metal and thus the unit gets incredibly hot and very fast. I would imagine if I ran this unattended for many hours it would probably not go very well, so I only use it briefly. Overall, I think this 100w flood light offers great value for the money but the build quality is a bit flimsy.
