Great little compressorGreat little compressor

[Color: Yellow-compatible With Dewalt, Color: Yellow-compatible With Dewalt]
First of all, let me say this does not come with a battery, but it does come with the cord where you can charge it in your cigarette lighter in your vehicle. I got an offbrand battery from Amazon and it works really well. The compressor comes with a couple attachments that fit in the one that’s permanently attached it feels pretty lightweight, but then when you add the battery, then that is what makes it heavier, but not too heavy. The handle is very comfortable to use. Amd there is a display on the top. It’s a very bright and works really well and I’m very pleased with this little air compressor.

Useful dual-power inflator held back by a flimsy 12-volt cord

[Color: Yellow-compatible With Dewalt]
This inflator works, and I have now used both power options successfully. I topped off my own tires in the driveway using one of my DeWalt 20V batteries, then used the included 12-volt adapter to inflate the tires on my parents’ car before they drove to Washington, D.C. It handled both jobs without a problem. The ability to use DeWalt batteries is the main attraction for me. I already own several, so I can use the inflator without dragging a power cord around the car. Because those batteries are expensive—and not something I generally leave sitting in my trunk—I also appreciate having the 12-volt adapter as a backup when the inflator is kept in the vehicle. My only real complaint is that the 12-volt cord feels conspicuously cheap. The wire is extremely thin for an automotive accessory and does not inspire much confidence about long-term durability. To its credit, the cord is long enough to reach all four tires on a typical car, so it is entirely functional. I would simply handle it with more care than I would a heavier-duty cable. The inflator also includes a spare fuse with a dedicated storage spot where it snaps securely into place. I have not needed it, and I am not going to interpret its inclusion as a prophecy of electrical failure. A replaceable spare is still better to have than not.At approximately $45 when I reviewed it, this is a useful inflator for anyone who already owns compatible DeWalt batteries but still wants the option to power it directly from a car. It has worked reliably for topping off multiple tires, and the dual-power design gives it considerably more flexibility than a battery-only model. A sturdier 12-volt cable would have made this an easy five-star product. As it stands, it works well enough to earn four.

Cordless air compressorCordless air compressor

[Color: Yellow-compatible With Dewalt, Color: Yellow-compatible With Dewalt]
This little air compressor is very handy. It does require a rechargeable battery if you want to be truly cordless. At some point I may buy a battery, but for my needs, I don’t really need one. I can plug it into my car, and off I go. Because of its compact size, it is very portable. I’m just leaving it in my car because the times I’ve used it so far, my car is right there. I had to use a separate gage with my old pump. This one has a nice digital screen. It also shuts off automatically which is very handy. The quality is decent. It doesn’t feel lightweight or cheap. Definitely worth the cost.

The "Cordless" Catch: Requires Your Own Battery Pack

[Color: Yellow-compatible With Dewalt]
If you buy this expecting a truly standalone, wire-free experience straight out of the box, you are going to be disappointed. While the marketing leans heavily on "cordless freedom," this unit is not a true cordless tool on its own because it does not ship with an internal battery pack. Unless you already happen to own a compatible 20V Dewalt-style battery, you are entirely tethered to your vehicle's 12V DC cigarette lighter plug. While the high-performance copper motor is plenty powerful—pushing up to 150 PSI and taking a flat passenger tire up to 35 PSI in just a few minutes—managing the long power cord defeats the purpose if you bought this specifically for seamless garage maintenance.
