Tackling late-night maker projects or working on classic cars in the garage requires serious illumination. I picked up this 5-head LED work light expecting a robust, portable solution. While the raw light output is undeniably impressive, evaluating the hardware through the lens of my daily product design work at Isolate IT reveals a few frustrating manufacturing choices.Confusing Assembly and Missed Design OpportunitiesThe assembly process immediately highlights a lack of attention to user experience. The printed instructions look good at first glance, but the hardware kit includes three different sizes of thumb screw knobs. Unfortunately, the manual doesn't specify which size goes where, and the illustrations make them all look completely identical, leading to a bit of trial and error.Furthermore, the pivots on the light heads require an Allen wrench to adjust. While the manufacturer provides the wrench, there is no integrated clip or storage slot on the stand to keep it securely attached to the light for future use. You are almost guaranteed to misplace it. Using thumb screws for these pivot points instead of Allen bolts would have been a significantly smarter, user-friendly design choice.Great Output, But a Wobbly StanceFrom a sheer performance standpoint, the LEDs are intensely bright and easily flood a large workspace. You do need to be mindful of the temperature; the heads get quite warm during extended operation, though thankfully not nearly as dangerously hot as old-school halogen work lamps.My main concern with the physical build is the overall weight distribution. The metal tubing used for the tripod and base is very lightweight, which makes the entire assembly uncomfortably top-heavy once the massive light fixture is mounted. You have to be quite careful when rolling it around on its wheels to ensure it doesn't tip over.Final ThoughtsUltimately, this work light gets the job done if you just need raw brightness on a budget, but the top-heavy stance and poorly planned hardware hold it back. It is an okay, functional solution for the price point, but it could be significantly improved with just a few minor engineering tweaks.

I love this light stand!Though the instructions are a bit brief, it is quite easy to assemble. The necessary fasteners are provided and vary by length and number of each length which makes it easy to figure out where each type goes.There is no dimmer control, but you can opt to use 2,3 or all 5 lights to illuminate. There is also an Allen wrench included to allow you to tilt each light independently if desired.With all 5 lights on, this is more than adequate for anything from garage, workshop tasks to shadow-free indoor photography or document scanning.The tripod is easily assembled, and the height telescopes (as opposed to having a number of segments that thread together). The wheels each have brakes that are easy to set.The tripod folds down and the light stand dismounts from a single screw and has a carrying handle so transport and storage are simple and do not take up a lot of space.

The wheels also make moving the entire setup around a garage, workshop, or job site much more convenient than carrying a traditional work light.The construction feels heavy-duty, and the waterproof design is a nice feature for demanding work environments. Overall, this is a versatile work light with excellent coverage, an adjustable design, and a convenient stand that should be useful for construction, automotive work, and home projects.

the web page starts with the word upgrade and that is an accurate description for me.There are always two components to consider with work lights. The light(s) themselves and then the structure that supports. This one excels in both areas.The assembly was a breeze and the stand is sturdy. I'm also a fan of the powder coated orange color. The tripod is stable and sits on three easy roll wheels that can also be locked into place with a quick tap of the foot.The tripod has two extension points with the overall height with both fully extended is just under 6'.You can of course use just three lights and take the top rail off for a stand alone use as a tabletop or work top lamp.The lights themselves are incredibly bright with two protected switches: one for the upper bank and one for the lower bank of lights. These are LED lights and the heat generated is considerably less than other types of lighting. These also throw fewer to virtually zero shadows.Each light can be positioned in all directions to ensure complete coverage of the space you are working in/on.Waterproof/dustproof these lights can handle everything from a construction zone to a garage workshop.Highly recommend!

Exactly what I was looking for. Doing repairs on the outside of the house. After work projects that stretch in to the dark. And needed good illumination. Well this light system provided great illumination! Angle adjustability made it perfect with low shadow interference. 2 settings. One is just for 2 lower lights. That would have been okay to get work done. The second setting for upper 3 lights, definitely bumped it up! After coupler of minutes of adjustment to the brightness, it felt like daylight. It only took 5 minutes to assemble. Very simple! Sturdy design with a tripod. Skinny lamp design, puts out a little bit of heat. But nothing dangerous. For its size, it is very lightweight! Good length on the power cord! Lenses are durable from fall impact. Again, because the assembly is lightweight, there is not much of a force impact. Did great in NW seattle rain. Waterproof! Worth the money!Very happy with the purchase!

I ordered the Changlang 30000LM LED Work Light with Stand and Wheels 3-Head Dimmable for Garage Workshop for our painting projects. We had already ordered another light from Changlang that was good quality, and this one with wheels didn't disappoint. Assembly is easy. The wheels allow for fast positioning while painting. This light is very bright and doesn't produce that much heat compared to halogen. It also doesn't produce any shadows, which works well when inspecting for paint lines or drips. The stand is sturdy, easy to adjust in height, and collapses to a small footprint. It will fit in a regular car trunk easily. Overall, it is of good quality and worth the investment.
