It was finally time to put new fixtures up in our home. I was very excited for this one and it lived up to all of my expectations. Now here is what I’ve noticed so far about the fixture and hopefully it helps you!Installation: Installation was not as straightforward as we would have liked it to be. The mounting screws needed to be cut because when we tried to put the cover on, the screws were sticking out way to much out of the cover and the screw caps couldn’t screw flush to the cover. We ultimately had to cut them but I didn’t see anywhere in the information about where we would have had to cut them. We also ultimately ended up cutting the wire itself because there is no way we could wind up all of the excess wire into the cover to hide it all. We would never want it to hang lower than it is so that was something we didn’t mind doing. This is why it lost a star from me. We just had to make adjustments not mentioned.The design: the length of this can be adjusted. But you can’t just have ANY length you want. It comes with 4 rod wire covers and that’s how you choose how long you want the light to hang. We chose one rod wire cover and it hangs down about a foot from the ceiling. If we added another wire cover, it would hang about 2 feet. A third, would hang about 3 feet and so on. So this is how you choose the length. It also can’t be modified further because the rod wire covers screw together and into the cover and in the light fixture itself.The look: the look is so beautiful. We had a white frosted bulb in the fixture at first. We changed it to a clear bulb and it made the look soooo much better. The clear bulb upgrades the look of the lights because it helps the glass reflect itself onto the ceiling. I love the look of the glass and its shadows on the ceiling. This is a feature not pictured or mentioned so I thought it was worth explaining its full potential and beauty.Keep in mind: we went from a 3 light chandelier to a single light chandelier. We do have other lights in our kitchen to add light but obviously going from 3 bulbs to 1 will make it less bright. This was not a problem for us. If I want to turn on one light for a dimmer light, it’s perfect. When it’s the only light on, picture “romantic candle light dinner”. That’s the feel of what the light gives off. We purposefully chose a dimmer warmer bulb for this reason.

I am seriously in love with this pendant light! The green glass is such a pretty color and gives the light a vintage feel while still looking modern enough to work with different types of decor. It has a little bit of personality, which I really appreciate because so many kitchen lights look exactly the same.The size is also really nice. It makes a statement without completely overwhelming the space, and I think it would look especially pretty over a kitchen island, dining area, or even above a sink. The glass shade gives it a nice decorative touch, and when the light is on, it creates a really warm and inviting feel.I also like the rod design because it gives the fixture a more finished, sturdy look compared to some of the hanging lights that just use a cord. Installation was pretty straightforward, and once it was up, it instantly made the area look more put together.If you're looking for something that's functional but also adds some color and character to your kitchen or dining space, this is definitely worth considering. The green is beautiful in person, and I love the vintage-inspired look!

Tl/dr: great quality glass, exactly as pictured, easy to assemble.CONS/NEUTRAL:* (see photos) I used an A21 BULB, Philips 100w smart bulb, while the colors work well with the shade, the bulb hangs out a bit from the shade.* glass edges were a little sharp, be careful* when screwing the rod together, be mindful of the placement of the piece that joins them. This piece has a tendency to screw into one rod while screwing out of the other rodSUGGESTION: once you have your permanent placement and rod length figured out, I would put a bit of Loctite on the threading for the rod, at least on one side, to keep the piece from coming out of one side while you screw the other side on to it. (It will make sense when you assemble the downrod, I promise).PROS:+ love the orange shade+ glass is VERY THICK and heavy+ wiring came pre-stripped with all necessary hardware, wiring is 14g (iirc) and thick+ simple yet effective design to make a vintage feel, or MCM+ you could probably use this shade as a floor lamp turned upside-down if you have the necessary stick,floor base, whatever that's called.This item was free, however I think the quality is on par with the $80-$100 ones sold in stores.

I absolutely love the weight this has to it. This is not flimsy glass or plastic—it feels substantial, beautiful, and really well made. It gives the room such a pretty glow without turning the entire kitchen orange. Since the shade doesn't completely cover the bulb, you get more of the warm light without everything taking on an orange tint. The lower I angled or hung it, though, the more of that gorgeous orange glow I got.*** PROS ***✓ Beautiful, substantial glass that feels very well made✓ Gives off a warm, inviting glow✓ Doesn't flood the entire room with orange light✓ You can adjust the angle/height to change how much orange glow you get✓ Definitely has that statement-piece look✗✗✗ CONS ✗✗✗✗ It's heavy! I actually see that as a sign of quality, but because of the weight, I would make absolutely sure it's mounted properly and securely. Not that you shouldn't do that with any light fixture, lol, but this one especially deserves the extra attention.

Unless you're really good DIY then you go buy more cord disassemble it rewire it and start all over again so be cautious when you cut it the old saying is you can always take away but you can't add too, especially in this instance!Build Quality & Installation:The glass shade itself is decently thick and features an elegant vintage floral design, but routing the wiring through the threaded iron rod connections during installation is a tedious process. She had some basic clear mason jar type pendant lights hanging over her kitchen island that we replaced with these. They add a personal touch to the kitchen and take it away from the generic feeling of stock lights. The glass shade of these does a good job of diffusing light so you are not looking directly at a bright bulb. If you do not want to see the bulb you do need to get a shallower/shorter form factor so it can be completely hidden by the glass shade. The install was extremely simple and only took a few minutes if replacing a similar fixture. I appreciated that the mounting ring had a large opening in the middle to allow you to push your wires back into the box after termination without the need to do the terminations prior to installing the mounting ring. As an electrician by trade, I have installed thousands of pendant fixtures, and this one is as good as anything I’ve installed in a commercial office for several times the price.

The manufacturer feels the rigid rod is more graceful than a wire hanging downSo you could adjust this if you’re between 10 inches and 40 inches from the height of the ceiling; the manufacturer says it comes with installation. Do that also with the white wire and also with the green wire. Push all the lock nuts and wires inside the junction box through the center hole of the install plate, making certain the install plates are fully tightened to the junction box, and then connect the canopy to the install plate with either screws or nuts, whichever way is supposed to be secured according to the manufacturer's instructions.
