I picked up this cordless angle grinder because I already use DeWalt 20V batteries and wanted a grinder that could fit into the same battery setup. The battery is not included, but that worked out well for me since I already had one available. The grinder has a brushless motor and plenty of speed for the small cutting, grinding, and cleanup jobs I have around the house and garage. I like having six speed settings because I can use a lower setting for lighter work and turn it up when I need more speed. The 4-1/2-inch size is also convenient because it is easy to handle and does not take up much room with my other tools. I have used it on metal pieces and for a few general repair projects, and it has been working as expected. The cordless design is especially nice when I am working outside or somewhere without an outlet nearby. The controls are easy to figure out, and the two safety features give me some extra confidence when starting the tool. It also has a comfortable grip and feels well balanced while using it. For someone who already has compatible DeWalt 20V batteries and needs a cordless grinder for home projects, this has been a useful tool to add to my collection.
One of the big reasons I picked this grinder for my kit is the ability to use the same batteries, especially because I already had DeWalt 20V Max batteries for other tools. I wanted a cordless tool that was portable enough to take anywhere in the shop for cutting, grinding, and surface cleaning without having to hunt for outlets or wrestle extension cords. My first use case for the tool was to clean up welds. The battery and machine were easy to assemble. I double-checked that everything was secure and tested the controls with the tool not in contact with any material before starting. Once I became familiar with it, transitioning from one task to another became quick and effortless. The 6-speed adjustment was a real plus as I did not always need the tool running at full speed. For lighter cleaning jobs I started on a slower speed so I could control it better and then increased the speed when I needed heavier grinding or cutting. The presence of several speed options makes this tool much more versatile than single-speed models. I also like the double safety. I don't want to accidentally start an angle grinder while I'm walking around with it or setting it up for a cut. After a few uses the safety switches clicked into place, not slowing the start of a job much. I still follow standard safety procedures in taking the battery out before making any adjustments or swapping accessories. I found the tool effortless to control in handling, both during short cuts and extended grinding sessions. I always use both hands when the task allows and have a stable stance before bringing the tool into contact with the material. Note to purchasers: This product is tool body only and does not include a DeWalt 20V Max battery. Actual running time and tool weight may differ based on the specific compatible battery installed. This is a very fast power tool, so it is important to wear proper protective gear and be cautious when working with it.

Went thru a master lock like it was butter. Nice case don’t know about gloves but safety glasses are kinda good. Will be using it to cut exhaust pipe on my jeep.
