I wouldn't expect a 20-inch fan to circulate a large room the way a traditional full-size ceiling fan would, so I think it's probably best suited for a bedroom or smaller living space. That said, any extra air movement is certainly better than none!The six fan speeds give you plenty of control, and having a remote makes adjusting everything much more convenient.You do need to provide your own light bulbs, but I don't consider that a major drawback. Our bathroom fan wasn't working and we didn’t have great lighting so we needed to find a solution. We removed a can light and used a conversion kit to make this work and I was a little concerned about the weight of the fan but it worked out great!Installation was easy and straightforward. I’ve installed remote controlled fans before and they really aren’t any different than any other light. The hardest part was putting on the plate to conversion kit, if you’re installing this onto a plate as a replacement or new it isn’t hard at all.I love how elegant this looks above our bath tub. The cover hides the fan entirely unless you’re underneath. The fan is also clear so it looks very nice from below.It pumps out quite a bit of air too, it really helps move the air in the bathroom and is very quiet and keeps baths relaxing. It is high quality and doesn’t move around. It’s very nice and very inviting. I really like it and helps bring the space to a little more elevated style.My biggest word of caution is put the lightbulbs in BEFORE hanging the fan. The lights are a bit difficult to get in after the fact. You can get it in by going over the top of the fan but I’m not sure how easy that is because I think it was easier because of the can light conversion kit being a little loose.
