This 2-pound hammer is beneficial when a regular hammer can't get the job done. The impact of this tool is great, and the handle will absorb most of the shock.I am impressed with the durability of this hammer, and I believe it is selling at a good price. Furthermore, I like to keep a heavier hammer so when my regular hammer can't get the job done, I can get this hammer out, and it does get the job done.I believe this is a must-have item to own, and I am happy to have it in my toolbox.

This is a very solid hammer. I like the large hammering end because it makes it hard to miss. The handle is wider and very comfortable to hold and it has a really good feel with its swing. The pinched end makes this hammer versatile to get into edges. For instance, I have wood paneling walls in one room of my home and there are some finishing nails I’ve never been able to make flush, but with the pinched end of the hammer, it goes right into the groove of the panels to push those nails in, which is a relief.The hammer’s weight feels great and it has been really sturdy so far. I will say the icon image for the product listing does not look like the hammer, but the basic wood handle and black head is classic and looks fine. All in all I think this is a great hammer for its cheap price tag

This is a great hammer. It works well, as a heavy mini sledgehammer should. It’s well balanced and feels good to hold because the hickory wood handle is the right size to fit firmly in my hand and give me a good grip.The 2-pound head is heavy enough to drive the nail without swinging too hard. It’s also not so heavy that I have trouble controlling the hammer.The wide surface where the hammer hits the nail is great because there is a lot of room for error, so I don’t wind up hitting my thumb. The wedge-shaped side also makes the hammer more versatile. I could use it for breaking apart small pieces of concrete or brick, splitting wood, or getting into tighter areas where I still need the strength of a strong, heavy hammer.This has quickly become my go-to hammer because it feels good in my hand, is easy to control, and can be used for different types of jobs.The hickory wood handle, hardened head, and the way the hammer is made all feel extremely durable. Based on that and what I know about the quality of Corona Tools, this hammer seems practically indestructible, and I expect it to last for a very long time.I got this hammer for free through the Amazon Vine program, but at the current price of $33.99, it seems a little more expensive than other wedge-shaped hammers of the same weight. That said, this hammer is made by Corona Tools, which is a well-known, good-quality brand. I am not familiar with the brands or the quality of the lower priced hammers I compared it to.

I've only been able to use this hammer for a little while, but it's already started to wear. The strike face has some scuffs on it, the paint has started to chip along the edge, and with how thin the rubber grip feels, I doubt I'll get much life out of it before it starts to peel.But that's all fine, because this is a $20 hammer, and at this price point, you know what you're getting. If you want something that will last for years, go buy a $60 Estwing. If you're a professional, that makes perfect sense; invest in your tools and all that. But if you just need a single-handed sledge every now and then, or if you really can't afford a more durable tool, then this is a perfectly fine hammer. The handle, while not the most durable it could be, is probably gonna be better than a cheap wooden handle -- especially given the weight of the head -- and it looks to be solidly potted on top.So in other words, it lacks a lot of quality but is has the basics down, and for $20, that's all you can really ask of it.

To me, this is a perfect size for a small Sledge. The engineer wedge makes it nice to just plumble through awkward debris. It tears it up. Small enough to not tire you out too much but big enough to make an impact their regular size hammer cannot do. My only gripe is the grip on the handle. I'm not sure how long it will last but it is pretty comfortable. The handle itself seems fine but it has a coating on it for grip it just seems like it's going to get worn off. Overall I am very happy with this unit and would highly recommend it.

The first impression you get when you look at this sledge hammer is that this a well-made, heavy duty and well balanced. The head of the hammer is manufactured from recycled steel and hardened by a special heat treatment process known as induction hardening. This treatment increases wear resistance and surface hardness. The handle of the hammer is made of hickory wood and is 14” long. The hickory handle helps performance by providing natural shock absorption and since hickory is one of the toughest woods it provides high impact strength and bending strength. This helps to disperse vibrations making the hammer comfortable to use and reduces fatigue as well as providing durability and strength.I’ve used small sledge hammers of the same size for years and this hammer feels quite balanced. At 2 lbs. of weight, it provides a heavy enough hammer to provide reliable driving performance and control. The features that stand out the most are the length of the hammer handle and the balance of the tool in your hand when you swing the hammer. And it does feel sturdy.I like that this product is -INDEPENDENTLY TESTED with 3rd-party testing and ISO standards for safety and performance.Price-Seems reasonable and in line with similar products and exact products from other sellers.
