Had a giant ball of long hair clogging the bathtub drain and come to find out it was more than 3’ down the drain pipe. Ordered this handy little auger and for $30 was able to remove a clog in about 5 minutes that a plumber would have charged $300 minimum for in our area. Bonus is if it happens again, the fix will be 5 minutes of my time vs having to call the plumber again for another $300 visit.Is this a professional grade auger? Absolutely not. Does it have its faults and foibles? Sure, but for $30 all I care about is the fact that it got the job done. That makes it 5 stars for the price in my opinion.

I think this the best product I bought from Amazon because of its design and how easy to use. This thing saved me almost $300 this month. I had another brand and that thing was very hard to use but this product exceeded my expectations. Buy this thing if you want to save money.

I don't normally leave reviews on things, because I'm lazy, but I have to leave one for this drain snake.I had a clogged sink that was draining VERY slowly. I tried chemicals, boiling water and plunging it and it did not get any better.I removed the P-trap and ran this through the pipe twice, the first time getting some food particles, the second time, hair.Second time did the trick! I ran it in reverse with my drill and slowly pulled it out of the drain and it broke loose whatever was causing my back-up.It requires quite a bit of manual labor, but the savings of not calling a plumber is worth it!

I'm on my third go round with this clog. It cleared the clog for a day or two. With minimal use for a day or two, I had to clear it using the full 25 ft. twice more over 2 weeks.I'm now convinced that I've cleared it forever because I don't hear anymore glug glug glugs after flushing. This auger works.Beware that the wire coil is easily bent. Even the video on their review doesn't show you how you should start it. You have to slowly push the auger through the toilet trap or it will bend and make trouble. I had to use pliers AND needle nose pliers to straighten out what was bent. I never really got it all the way straight. Although those bends might create a wider scraping arc. Either way it ended up working.The example in the video where they would manipulate the wire back and forth is better bather than going in a straight line.If you're using a drill attachment, which I highly recommend, it does get heavy and you'll end up with cramps in your forearms from wrangling it (if you're a weak female like me).I did the third clearing over the last week and fingers crossed that this is the last. But I'm not taking any of the tools out of the bathroom until I'm sure and I'm certainly not using it for number two because who wants to see that. Can't complain when considering how much plumber money I saved.

i was originally bummed that i missed the sentence where it said that this snake did not extend by rotating the drum. but, in retrospect, i prefer to extend it by pulling out the snake so that it's easier to feel where the obstruction is.ultimately, it did it's job. I cleared the clogged drain and ended up with a new tool...a win win in my book.

The overall product is 5 stars! I was able to unclog my bathroom sink way past the wall connection. i think my son must have dropped something in the sink and it made to the wall connection or just past and clogged it. This product totally work and i was able to unclog it! I’m knowing some stars off for the seller, i didn’t receive a new product. It was clearly open, used and returned . It was missing the gloves .
