This extractor set is great! It's built well and sturdy, and I love the design that holds the extractors in place so you don't have to worry about losing the individual ones. The size is written on them very clearly in bright colors as well, which makes it easy to find which size you're looking for.It comes with a great selection of sizes, so regardless of what kind of stripped bolt you have to remove, you should have the right size. While I'm personally not a huge tool person, my husband is, and he's been able to use these on a few projects. Thus far, they've held up well and have been reusable.From what I can tell, they're just as good as any brand-name tool brand!

I ordered this set for my husband who, having grown up on a farm, likes to reuse, rebuild, and restore things that most people would never give a second look. Of course, this means that he frequently has to deal with nuts and bolts that are stuck, corroded, or rounded, resulting in a lot of frustration and unnecessary effort. Very happy that I ordered these for him.The extractor set is impressive! Made of quality, durable Cr-Mo steel, this set should last him for a very long time. Since they have the standard 3/8” square drive and come with a hex adapter, they work perfectly with his impact driver, ratchets, and other tools he has available. He found them very easy to use and a definite time saver compared to having to try all different approaches when confronted with stubborn or damaged hardware. It’s so nice to see more smiles than scowls when he’s working on these projects, and that itself is worth the money.

I am not sure how long this brand has been around, but they recently caught my eye and are earning my confidence. This is my third product of theirs. All three have been very well made and reasonably priced. I have several extractors and bits laying around. I have tended to pick one up as I need it, rather than getting a whole kit. Yet again, i find myself needing a an extractor setup in a size that i either don't have or can't find at the moment. My 3d printer is down and the screws on the head were both stripped. I didn't even need to use the extractor, the left hand bit dug in and popped them right out. I now have a place to keep all of extractor stuff, as the inserts this set comes in just slide right into a small drawer. I'll know where to find them next time. This kit is very well made and covers a wide range of sizes. For the average home tinkerer, such as myself, this should cover all the bases for stuck fasteners. I have spent far more than this grabbing bits and extractors piece meal - the buy once, cry once methodology is much more effective here.

Breaking off a rusty bolt is a bad situation. Now you're wondering what to do. Having a screw extractor set handy can save you some major headache. You'll still have some choice words to scream out ahead of you, but at least with this set, you'll have a clear path forward. All the pieces look nice enough, but it's hard to determine steel quality without really putting it to some heavy duty use. I have not needed them yet, so I can't speak to that front. I can say the drill bits look exactly like what you get from Harbor Freight for $12 though. The foam case is a wonderful touch. Make room in your tool chest and place these flat foam holders in one of the drawers. Now you'll easily be able to see what you have and what is missing. Overall it's a nice looking set, though it could use a coupon to bring it down from the current $70 asking price.

Extremely well rounded extractor kit. Does a good job of combining a number of different tools for broken or rounded fastener removal without forcing you to buy them all individually. Most of the time broken fastener removal is a roll of the dice anyway, and there's usually one tool or another that increases your odds of success slightly. This kit allows you to have those options available from the jump. All the tooling included is well made and sharp, bites into fasteners well and gives a good chance at a successful result without grabbing the welder or the tap and die set. The included foam inserts are a great touch too, keeping everything neat and organized while not taking up the space of another crappy blow-molded case in your toolbox. The material was particular well chosen, with a plastic sheet on the top layer that prevents the foam from soaking up and holding dirt or oil the way a lot of foams will. Easy to clean, easy to KEEP clean. If I had one very minor complaint, it would be that the foam inserts could have been shrunk down a little bit by bringing the tools a little closer together, thereby saving some toolbox space. It's a minor complaint though, and otherwise this is a great set.

First off, this is a tool that you hope that you will never need. We've all had to deal with rounded-off fasteners, and that's not fun at all. Locking pliers, hammers, torches, etc are all tools that we use to deal with them.So we have this set.....First off, they come in a socket holder. This is ready to just drop into a tool box drawer. Easy enough to pull out and take to a job to make sure that you have the right size available. NIce touch. There are even screw holes in the holder so that you could mount this somewhere.The sizes are clearly marked. Oh wait..... they're not all metric sizes? Some of them are fractional sizes. Makes perfect sense, when you think about it. If you're working on something and the fastener is rusted and/or rounded off.... it's likely to be old as well, and you might have to use the old tool sizes.The third notable thing is how these little beauties work - I tried to take a photo showing the inside of these sockets. There are spiral flutes inside the socket that are designed to bite into your fastener. Is it rounded off? The flutes won't care. They're going to grab it. Stick your finger in there and see how it works. Be careful, they're sharp.The sockets are black oxide finished and impact rated. They look well-constructed. On the smaller sizes, you'd best be careful - these look lke they'll just pull the head off of a bolt or snap a bolt in half at the rusted nut. Penetrating oil, maybe some heat and patience could help stop that from happening - but your tool isn't gonna slip off, that's for sure.I wish I had a stuck fastener that I could use to demonstrate how well this works.... well, actually, I don't. I hope I never need these. But the next time I do, I'll be ready.
