I ordered this light to add to a bedroom that has never had a light installed from the housing behind the ceiling plate.The light in action: We don’t have a dimmer switch so we just chose the light setting we wanted. We love warm lighting in our home so that’s what we chose. When going through every light option, they are all extremely bright. We see everything in the room so clearly, so assuming they are at their brightest light, they illuminate extremely well.Installation- installation was great! It was very straightforward. I’d say the easiest light we have installed thus far. We removed the cover from the ceiling and exposed the housing. We added the mount, wired it, and twisted the light onto the mount. We didn’t run into any weird problems and we didn’t have to modify anything like we have had to do with other lights in the past. We however did not use the steel cable to hold the light to the ceiling. If the light fell, it wouldn’t fall on anyone’s head. It also twists in pretty securely so we weren’t worried about it falling. We just felt like including a steel cable was a fire risk so we opted out of installing it.What to keep in mind- yes it comes with everything you need. I was new to anything like this so I ended up researching how this light works. It’s not really explained in the product description so I didn’t really know. So these don’t come with bulbs. This light is meant to last years with several different tiny LED lights integrated into the fixture that are NOT meant to be changed out. Once the light stops working, the fixture needs to be replaced. Based upon my research, with average use, it should last around 10 years.This LED light should save you on energy costs and the cost of bulbs throughout its lifetime making the light extremely budget friendly. We are very happy with this light and everything about it.

We replaced several old builder-grade fixtures with these and the improvement in both look and light quality was dramatic. The warm white glow is flattering and natural, and the dimming capability works smoothly across the full range without any flickering or buzzing at low levels. The circular profile with the clean white frame reads as modern and intentional rather than generic, and the slim profile sits close to the ceiling in a way that works equally well in rooms with standard or lower ceilings.The dimmable function is genuinely useful in everyday life. We have ours in the bedroom where bright overhead light is not always what you want, and being able to dial it down to a warm ambient level without needing a separate lamp has changed how we use the space. The light is bright, and was easy to install. The color temperature options on the selector inside he light make it easy to match the feel of the room. It sits fairly flush with the ceiling. I bought a Leviton dimmer switch that is advertised for dimmable LED lights, and the combination doesn't work. The switch works with a similar product I ordered, allowing it to dim, but this light doesn't seem to work with it. The light just stays on at full brightness. There is a list of dimmer switches that are supposed work in the installation instructions, and there are several Leviton switches mentioned, but I don't see any of those available through the big box store where I purchased the switch. I'd add a star if the light worked with the LED dimmers available at our two big-box hardware store chains. I'd probably add a star if the specific switches were listed here on the item page so the dimmer could be sourced or at least confirmed to be available when purchasing this light. If you don't are about a dimmer, this is a great, inexpensive option.

Not long ago, I ordered a flush mount LED ultra-thin ceiling light for a closet and have been very pleased with it, after initial reservations about its durability. This Huguzili 12inch Dimmable LED Flush Mount CCT Selectable Super Slim Low Profile LED Ceiling Light caught my attention because it is very similar in appearance to that light, and I hoped it would be as pleasing. It is and more. Like the other light, this Huguzili light is modern and understated but larger and has more to offer. It is made primarily of white plastic with a white translucent faceplate that has a slight shimmer. The light is tightly sealed and is IP42 rated for wet areas (including covered outdoor areas). The light fixture includes anchors, mounting screws, wire caps and a user manual/warranty card with text and illustrations. This light is versatile and allows CCT selection with 2700K/3000K/4000K/5000K/6500K as options. It is also compatible with dimmer switches and can be adjusted from 5% brightness to 100%. The light is slim and has a clean, minimalist appearance. It blends in with my white ceiling and does not detract from my décor. If you are looking for a light fixture that is inconspicuous yet highly functional, try this Huguzili light. The light fixture is lightweight and easy to install. It includes an installation plate and a handy attachment clip that aids one-person installation. Because this light is so well sealed and uncomplicated in design, I think it will be durable. This combined with the extended life of most LED bulbs/lights suggests that this fixture will be operable for years to come. Perhaps what most pleased me about this light is that it is ETL listed, and that offers a safety assurance that I like.

Once it was up, I showed Mom all the different white-light settings so she could choose the one she liked best. She picked her favorite, but there was still one problem: Mom is not a fan of bright lights, and even with her preferred color selected, she thought it was too bright.Then I remembered this fixture is dimmable. No special controller or additional device needed in the fixture itself. I already had a compatible dimmer switch on hand, so about 15 minutes later, everything was finished.Now Mom has exactly the color of white light she prefers and exactly the brightness she likes. And if someone actually wants all 2640 lumens, they’re still available with a turn of the dimmer.The fixture itself is well made, extremely thin and disappears nicely against the ceiling. I installed this light in my walk-in closet, replacing an old "boob-style" light that was in there. It was a fairly easy install, very straightforward. The only problem I ran into was that its screw slots did not match up with the existing attachment piece in the electrical box. Not the fault of the light. Once I removed that metal bar, the base plate for this light screwed on easily and attaching the light itself was as easy as twisting together two wires and rotating the light onto the base plate. I love that it has an easy to access switch that lets you adjust the color temperature... I hate the color of some LED lights and you never know for sure til you plug them in. This one gives 5 "whites" to choose from. I also appreciate that this light is dimmable, because it is SUPER bright. Unfortunately for me, I am using it in conjunction with an automated on/off switch so dimming is not an option. To best appreciate this light, I would suggest installing it where a dimmer is an option or in a larger room with a higher ceiling as its so bright that it is uncomfortable to look up at. Even so, its a big improvement over a boob light and its simple flush style blends easily anywhere.

I got this light for my office to replace a fluorescent fixture whose ballast had gone bad. The cost of this fixture was about the same as replacing the ballast, and I felt like its additional flexibility and light quality would make it a better choice.At 12 inches, this fixture has a larger diameter than some of the other LED flush-mount fixtures I've used, but it also puts out about 2,600 lumens. That's not fantastic for 24 watts of consumption, but if you're in a space that's looking for a little more light, I think it's definitely worth considering. It is a pretty bright light for the space I have it in, although it's possible the advertised lumen output is a little exaggerated.Installation was one of the biggest positives for me. This is one of the easiest ceiling fixtures I've worked with. I particularly appreciated the hang wire, which lets you leave the fixture hanging while connecting the wires instead of having to hold the fixture up at the same time. The fixture is entirely plastic, so there is no ground connection. That may leave you with a ground wire you aren't sure what to do with, but it can probably just be tucked safely into the electrical box as appropriate for your installation.I also like the selectable color temperatures. You have to remove the fixture to change the setting, but it comes off with just a gentle twist, so that's really not much of a barrier. The light is definitely softer than a classic incandescent bulb, which most people would probably prefer. However, the 80+ CRI leaves things a little muddier than you'd get from an incandescent or a 90+ CRI light. I wouldn't use this in a kitchen or anywhere that really high color quality is important.I'm planning to install a dimmer so I can have a little less light than it wants to give me. It's nothing particularly remarkable, but if you're looking for a reasonably priced fixture that works well and provides plenty of general illumination, this definitely fits into that camp. For the price, there are other options with 90+ CRI and 4200 lumens at the same wattage.

I ordered this flat round LED light to replace a bulky protruding wall light fixture. The old light fixture was located on a hallway wall next to the attic door and pull down stairs, with only about one inch clearance for the attic door. The light fixture was often accidentally bumped when accessing the attic. It also was not a good light source due to its decorative basket weave shade.This LED light fixture comes with a mounting plate, fasteners, anchors and wire nuts. The mounting plate fit over the existing light box without having to drill new holes in the wall. The ground wire is not needed for the LED light. The light fits on the mounting bracket similar to a smoke detector with tabs around the edge.There is a security wire behind the light that hooks onto the mounting bracket, if you need to remove the light and change the light color setting. I set it on 2700K which is the warmest white and that is very bright. The coolest white is super bright, but I prefer the warmer more natural light.The light is perfect for this windowless hallway and it lights up the attic stairs when pulled down. It is super bright so I will probably replace the regular wall switch with a dimmer switch. The light looks like a porthole on a ship and I like it very much.
