This was a wire for wire replacement for analog thermostat. Works great

Easy to install. The outer face plate was a challenge to take off and put back on. The temperature buttons are flimsy. Never having installed something like this, the wire cap covers could have come with it. Just a thought.

Upgrading to a digital thermostat is the best thing Ive done in my motor home. The temperature is a whole lot easier to maintain with it than it was with the analog thermostat.

Or cheap camper RV thermostat quit workingafter about year 5. It was always hard to adjust so it right i world look into the digital thermostat. It was ready to install and works great. I definitely recommend this product.

I got this digital thermostat to replace an analog (slider type) thermostat that came as original equipment in my travel trailer. With the original thermostat, you had to approximate the temperature setting, which sometimes left you with a temperature that was too cold or too hot during the night. With the digital thermostat, you can dial it in exactly, every time. This thermostat is a lot more accurate than the old one, as the air conditioner cycles a little more frequently, but the temperature stays a lot more constant.Installation was a breeze because this thermostat uses the same mounting holes as the old one.The only issue I have with it is that the temperature display is not backlit. It is a small inconvenience when you want to see your adjustments, but not enough to dock it a star. If the manufacturer would add a dim backlight this unit would be top notch. Overall, this thermostat is a big value for your money and well worth the low asking price. I highly recommend it.
