Good Budget Line Wrenches

[Set name: Metric Flare Nut Wrench Set (4-Piece)]
These line wrenches have a clean nickel chrome finish to resist rust and easy clean up. There's a peg hole on one end of each for hanging on your peg board if you prefer over your tool chest drawer. These wrenches provide the grip of boxed end wrenches with a cutout feature on each on that allows access to line nuts on any tubing. The cutout side retains enough surface on each side so that this wrench will grip all six sides of your nut and is much more secure than a traditional open end wrench. As these are budget friendly, they do not have beveled edges anywhere on the wrench for comfort, these appear to have been cut out from a flat stock and coated. I ordered these hoping to use on my brake bleed kit without having to remove the tubing from the nipple and let the wrench hang as I go back and forth to do a one man brake bleed, unfortunately 9mm is the smallest size in this kit which is fine for many brake nipples but some are smaller. I just need to add an 8mm one. The range is perfect for the rest of the brake line nuts throughout the brake system.

Hardened! Slim!

[Set name: Metric Flare Nut Wrench Set (4-Piece)]
Pros:- Seems to be plated steel- Properly hardened (a file skates across it)- Slim and totally flat for easy access to difficult fasteners- Has all the common sizes, even including the uncommon 9 and 11- Very nice laser engraving of sizesCons:- Does dent a bit when two wrenches are whacked together

Solid little wrench set

[Set name: Metric Flare Nut Wrench Set (4-Piece)]
Picked up this flare nut wrench set and it’s actually pretty nice. They’re on the thinner side, so at first I wasn’t sure how sturdy they’d feel, but once I started using them they grabbed the fittings just fine. The slim design actually helped me squeeze into a couple tight spots, so that ended up being a plus instead of a downside. If you need something for brake or fuel lines and don’t wanna spend a ton, this set gets the job done without any drama.

Excellent Value for Versatile SetExcellent Value for Versatile Set

[Set name: Metric Flare Nut Wrench Set (4-Piece), Set name: Metric Flare Nut Wrench Set (4-Piece)]
Excellent value for the price because this versatile set includes eight different metric sizes of flare nut wrenches. They are slim/flat (and also slotted for leverage or hanging if needed), so perfect for very tight spaces, which are common when working on small brass lines. Each end is very clearly labeled per the metric size in font that is much larger than the print used on most of my other tools. They do not come with a case, but in my opinion single wrenches like this don't really need one, they are best kept in an organized tool chest. The length of each of these is appropriate for a balance of grip and usability for the delicate nature of working with flare nuts. Honestly, at this price, they are worth purchasing even if you only use them once or twice ever- it's about having the right tool for the job.
