The clips do work in terms of holding on to the tile pretty well.They require a bit of force to put them on because you are basically bending the center of the plastic clip back into the clip. I have a picture of one after use and one before use and you can see how the center plastic gets pushed down, which brings the arms together. You can see how the end then turns to clip onto the bar that supports your ceiling tiles.The good - they fit pretty consistently. I did not have any that were overly large or small and would not grip. There are a couple different ways that you can hook something to them because of both the loop area and the small hook at the bottom. I did not really use the string and the clips.The question - I used a bunch of them to hang a light weight curtain. I would only use them for light weight things because of the material. I am not sure how long they will last. Some areas of the room get a significant amount of sunlight and I am not sure how that will affect these in terms of discoloration or brittleness. They also were not easy to remove - particularly if trying to save them to put somewhere else. I think they are kind of one-time use.

These have been working great in my classroom! I’ve used them to hang icicle lights, lanterns, and various decorations from the drop ceiling, and both the hooks and clips have worked really well.I’ll admit, I was a little confused about how the drop ceiling hooks worked at first. Once I looked at the instructions on Amazon, though, it made much more sense. No tools are needed, which is definitely a plus.My only complaint is that installing them takes a little more strength than I would prefer when I’m standing on a ladder trying to decorate. Let’s just say my arms were getting a workout that was NOT on my lesson plan.That said, once they’re installed, they feel very sturdy. The hooks and clips both seem to be good quality, and they’ve held the things I’ve hung from them without any issues.If they continue to hold up over time, I’m more than willing to accept the little struggle during installation. Overall, I’m very happy with these and will definitely be using them for classroom decorating.

I will start the one thing I don't like is 15 is $12 and 50 is $23. Yes I believe that you should get some sort of bulk discount but I think this is pretty excessive. I think the 15 should be closer to $8.The hooks work well. They were pretty easy to install. We use these for decorations in our multi-purpose room. I like them and they work well. You can move them around pretty easily as well. I do wish I would have gotten the 50 though because we have a large ceiling and could have used more. Will probably get more for future use. The package of 15 I owuld call a poor value, but the 50 would be a great value.
