Sometimes kids make bad decisions and sometimes they have to learn to fix those. Our den had one such bad decision, in the form of someone accidentally sticking a replica costume sword through the sheetrock. Not an ideal situation, that's for sure.I needed a small, quick, contained fix. I did not want to go out to the shed and drag the giant bucket of patch + all those tools in to deal with it. This kit came to the rescue. It is small, but it has everything needed to resolve the situation.The patch worked pretty well. It did take me a couple days to fully complete the process, as I wanted the spackle to dry really well. It was easy to sand down the area, attach the patch, spackle, and sand. There is plenty of repair spackle, too, which let me fix quite a few more little holes. I still have plenty left, too.I like that this is a small set. I already fixed the main issue, but I still have the tools and another patch for future use. It's pretty versatile and easy to store in my quick repair kit. It definitely beats having to drag out that 20 pound bucket and all the stuff to go with it for a minor repair!I would recommend this, it has proven it's value to me at first use and still has several more uses available. Goodness knows that, with all these kids, another ding in the wall is inevitable!

This kit has everything you need to repair drywall or patch up some smaller holes. The included tools really help get the job done quickly. This paste has a strong smell but once it dries it’s not noticeable. This paste ended up being a kind of ashen white when it dried but it patched my holes easily. I will say that the paste does get quite chalky if you get it on your gloves so be mindful of that or you’ll be cleaning up dust like residue off of everything you touched. I found this kit to be great for the cost and I have leftover paste for another project or two so the quantity is appropriate for the patches provided plus a little extra.

Drying time is on par with other premixes that I have used. The color isn't much an issue and can be easily covered, and the thickness is sufficient . The washability is very simple if you clean off your hands and tools before it fully sets, though it just takes a bit more scrubbing if allowed to dry completely.It is a handy all-in-one setup that makes quick work of minor wall patches and nail holes.

I picked up this drywall patch kit because I recently took down a large TV mount in our living room and was left with some pretty ugly anchor holes staring back at me. With a 12-year-old and a 14-year-old daughter constantly having friends over, I prefer to keep the house looking halfway decent, so I needed a quick fix.As for what I liked, the kit includes everything right out of the box. You get a good amount of spackle, the self-adhesive mesh patches, and a scraper. The paste itself has a great consistency. It goes on smooth and does not run down the wall while you are trying to work it into the holes. The mesh patches were perfect for the larger anchor blowouts, providing plenty of support for the mud.My only real dislike is the plastic scraper included in the kit. It is a bit small for my hands and bends a little too much when applying heavy pressure. I ended up grabbing my own metal putty knife from the garage to get a perfectly flat finish, but the included one will work fine if you do not have other tools laying around.When it comes to value for the money, this kit is absolutely worth it. Buying a massive bucket of joint compound and separate tape just to fix a few holes makes zero financial sense. This 10.5-ounce tube is the perfect size for standard household repairs and keeps things simple.I am giving this a 5-star rating because it did the trick perfectly. The compound dried relatively fast, sanded down flush with the rest of the drywall, and took the touch-up paint without showing any ugly seams. It gets the job done right without any unnecessary hassle.

This kit worked exactly how I expected it to, and honestly, it made our wall touch-ups so much easier. As renters, we had plenty of little nail holes and gaps to fill, plus I had to remove three paint chips from the wall for color matching. I was able to fill everything back in effortlessly with this kit.The paste was easy to work with and blended nicely into the damaged areas. On our textured walls, I simply used a sponge to recreate some of the texture, and it turned out surprisingly well. On the non-textured walls, I was able to smooth everything out so it blended beautifully.What impressed me most was how nicely it looked once painted. We needed to paint over the repaired nail holes and damaged spots, and the paint went over the filler beautifully—the color really popped and the finished wall looked so much cleaner and refreshed.It is a simple kit, but it did exactly what I needed it to do. I got this wall repair kit to fix a small hole in one of my walls, and I like that it came with everything I needed to get the job done. The order includes a small container of wall repair paste along with the tools needed for applying and smoothing it, so I didn't have to look for anything extra.Setup was simple. I mixed the paste in the container as directed, applied it to the damaged area, smoothed it out, and let it dry before lightly sanding it. The instructions were easy to follow, even if you don't do wall repairs very often.I used it on a small hole left behind after moving a wall decoration, and it filled the damaged area well. Once it dried, it blended in nicely with the wall after a little sanding. The paste spread smoothly and was easy to work with without making a big mess.The repair material feels durable once it dries and doesn't seem like it will crack or chip easily. It looks like it should hold up well over time for everyday wall touch-ups.The only small downside is that you may need to apply a second thin coat if you're filling a deeper hole, but that's pretty common with this type of repair.Is It Worth It? Yes. If you want an easy way to repair small holes, cracks, or other minor wall damage around the house, this kit is a convenient option. This 'Spackle Paste' hole and crack filler 'kit' is all you need for a small, wall repair job. If you're moving out of a rental and you need to fill the holes and gauges in the walls to get you deposit back this kit will see you through it. It is super emulsified so it glides and smooths quickly and easily. It also dries very quickly so it can be painted over almost immediately. Photo 6 shows how it dried on my finger within a minute after I filled a small nail hole and smoothed it with my finger. But it washed off completely with a little water. The self-sticking adhesive on the back of the roughly 4" x 4" mesh and metal patch for larger holes is sufficiently strong to stick to the wall while spackel is smoothed over it. While the kit includes 2 small sandpaper discs, if you smooth the spackle well and softly wipe over it with a damp flap sponge or paper towel you win't even need to sand. But, if you're estimating whether the approximately 3" x 3" tub has enough spackle to complete your job, keep in mind that the just opened tub shown in photo 5 was only about half full. That would mean the spackle filled a 3" diameter tub bottom about 1.5" deep. That's why I prefaced the review stating that this kit is good for a small, wall repair job. If that's the case, the kit has nearly everything you need to complete the job.
