[Color: Antique Black+Green Shade]
Bought this to replace a genuine antique banker's lamp that finally gave out, and I went in with modest expectations. It does work — the switch turns on, the bulb lights up, the green shade glows the way you'd want. So on the basic "does it function" question, no complaints. But you can feel where the money was saved. The base is lighter than it should be. A real banker's lamp has some heft to it; this one feels hollow, and it tips or slides if you bump the desk. I ended up putting a felt pad underneath just to keep it planted. The "antique black" finish is a thin painted coating over what feels like cheap pot metal, not the enameled brass look it's imitating. There were a couple of scuff marks near the base out of the box, and I suspect the finish will chip over time. The green shade is fine from a distance but clearly resin or thin glass with a painted-on tint rather than the layered cased glass you get on better lamps. The color is a little flat and uneven when it's lit — you can see brighter and dimmer patches. The pull chain feels flimsy and rattles, and the socket wobbles slightly when you screw a bulb in.For the price I paid, I can't be too harsh — it's doing the job on my desk and looks acceptable in a dim room. But if you've handled the $70+ versions, you'll immediately notice this is a tier below: lighter, thinner, more plasticky, and clearly built to a budget. It reads as decorative-disposable rather than something you'll hand down.Bottom line: Functional and passable if you want the look cheaply and don't scrutinize it closely. If you want a banker's lamp that actually feels solid and ages well, spend more. Three stars — it works, but you get what you pay for.
[Color: Antique Bronze+Green Shade]
I am using this small glass shaded table lamp for my home office area. I feel that the price is a little high for the product I received and compared to others on the market. The class shade seems to be stronger and more adorable than just regular glass. It has a pull string which makes it easy to turn on and off. The light is brighter than expected and does not flicker even after being on for a few hours. The lamp does come with one light bulb. It is easy to assemble out of the package. The table lamp has a good balanced design and it's made from a strong and durable material.
