I got the brushed nickel version for our upstairs bathroom because it coordinates perfectly with the brushed nickel faucets and other hardware. I ordered this brushed nickel passage door handle for the linen closet in my kid’s bathroom, to match the recently updated faucet fixtures.Overall, I am happy with our new handle! The set as a whole has a sleek, clean, and attractive appearance. The brushed nickel finish is nicely done and without any visible scratches or marks. The square baseplate gives it a slightly modern feel, however, the overall look is certainly neutral enough that this could fit well with both modern and traditional styles of décor. Our previous handle was a worn down, builder grade brass knob. This is a definite upgrade and has given the door a clean, fresh look!Installation was fairly straightforward and consistent with my expectations based on other door knobs I’ve installed. To remove the old set and replace with this one took no more than 15 minutes. All of the required hardware is included, as well as detailed instructions with a measurement template if needed.Once installed, the set felt securely in place, and it operates effectively, and as I expected. The surface of the handle feels smooth and pleasant to touch, and, functionally, turning the knob is a smooth and effortless experience.This set feels strong, durable and well made. I did notice one small thing, however. While the set as a whole has a nice, solid weight to it, the circular part of the handle feels very light, almost hollow. In my mind, this is very minor, as it seems to have no impact on the functionality or appearance. As of today, everything else about this set indicates to me that this is a high quality product that is built to last. However, only time will tell.At the end of the day, I am happy with this set, as it is very attractive, well-made, and functional. For $26, this is a decent value and I would recommend!

I love the look of this privacy door knob but it isn't compatible with my doors.The hole for the latch piece is 1 to 2 mm too small on the door. I could try to widen it or use a wooden block to hammer the latch in place but I don't want to risk cracking the frame of the door.The kit includes most pieces and even provides an extra bag with a spare screw of each type needed. The instructions focus on how to install in a new uncut door and frame. They don't explain the lock at all that I could find.A critical option or our home's doors isn't part of this doorknob, the ability to have the rectangle or round latch cover. Our doors require the round type. The plate on this door handle latch is thinner than any I have purchased so I was willing to see if it would allow the door to close. Then the diameter for the latch turned out to be too small anyway.The locking mechanism is unique, I haven't seen one like it before. The square plate that goes to the inside of the room to be secured has a button sticking out that is to be pushed for lock and pulled for unlock. It looked awkward to me and it actually took me a few minutes to even figure out what it is for.The set includes an allen wrench for securing the screws for the handle and a small pin for unlocking the handle if needed from the other side of the door.It also has the latch strike plate. So if you are installing on a new door and frame this kit will work.The instructions include the template needed to measure and align cuts for less chance of mistakes.The latch also adjusts in length in case a precut hole for the handle is set back.The brushed nickel is true and matches traditional styles of the same coloration.The handle feels sturdy, not light or cheap at all. I do wish it had worked for where intended in our house. Maybe I will brave adding that extra diameter opening for a different door in the future. For now I will store this doorknob as I prefer something that doesnt require even small cuts to the doors or frames.I did not remove stars for fitment or lack of versatility because both are common issues I have run into no matter how hard I try to do due diligence when selecting doorknobs. The instructions and lack of information about locking mechanism and the oddness of the lock location lost a star on the doorknob.
