This fan is all plastic so don't have to worry about humidity at all, it can go outside under the patio or like I'm doing, put it in a shed. It's supposed to be intended for indoors. It does hang down a foot so it's not low profile, but the space in between is better because it draws down more air. The performance is powerful wind and it's very quiet working. The light is very bright and also has different hues of white you can change it, also dimming it works great. The remote works fine, very easy to control. For a budget fan, and one that looks modern and works so good, this is totally worth the price offered at. Very affordable and glad I got it.
