39" Shower Threshold Water Dam Self
Key Features
- Size: 0.55"H × 1.14"W. This silicone water dam is professionally engineered to create a reliable flood barrier, keeping shower water where it belongs. It helps achieve an organized wet-dry separation, protecting your bathroom floors and vanity cabinets from overspray and pooling water.
- High-Quality Material: Made of premium, eco-friendly silicone, this water blocker is flexible enough to bend gently into various custom layouts. It easily conforms to bathroom, bathtub edges, kitchen sink and RV wet areas without cracking or losing its structural integrity.
- Wheelchair & Senior Friendly: Designed with an accessible, low-profile structure that is ideal for frameless walk-in showers and senior/handicap-friendly bathrooms. The soft, responsive silicone collapses smoothly under foot traffic or wheelchair wheels, and rapidly rebounds to its original shape, significantly reducing tripping hazards compared to rigid plastic barriers.
- Easy Installation: Equipped with a self-adhesive backing for a quick and straightforward setup. To ensure the best stability and long-lasting waterproofing performance, we highly recommend sealing the bottom edges with clear silicone sealant after placement, especially for high-pressure shower zones.
- Versatile Uses: The water dam can be applied to almost any smooth surface. It prevents water from walk-in showers, spilling over from bathroom sinks, bathtub edges, shower door bottoms, kitchen sinks, and RV showers etc, helping to keep floors and other surfaces dry. In addition to solving leakage issues, it also enhances the decor.

This was great for my shower stall. My old man doesn't know the meaning of closing the curtain and this has helped save my floor and never ending wet rugs. They're cut to fit, easy to install just make sure you clean the threshold really well and lightly sand it if it's tile or granite. I don't mean remove any coatings but just the hard water to get a good clean slate. It's not the prettiest but it's great value.

The Zehiels Shower Threshold Water Damn is a roughly .5" pyramidal silicone water barrier that is collapsible. It comes with an adhesive preinstalled on the bottom, a couple "primer" wipes to clean the floor first, and a silicone "calk" tube to seal the seams.Installation was a breeze. I simply measured the distance of my shower opening, then cut the threshold barrier to match the length (I used industrial scissors, but a utility knife would do the trick as well). I cleaned the application area with my own cleaning solution (bath tile cleaner?) then applied the included primer. After that, just peel the red sticker off the barrier and set it in place. After giving it a couple minutes to cure (and pressing it down in places), I applied the sealant solution/calk around the corners and shower side edges.24 hours later, I used it for the first time, including riding a wheelchair over the threshold. It worked without any issues. The seal seemed to hold. I'm very pleased with the end result. it looks much nicer than the previous barrier I was using that stood up about 2" and was an unseemly tan color.I cannot comment on long term durability, but it certainly stands up well to the expected pressure of rolling over/collapsing it. I selected the white color. It looks great, as if it was a natural part of the shower.

We had been experiencing rainwater coming in under the kitchen door and this barrier has worked out really well for us. The package includes one long length that we easily cut to the length needed. It was a bit difficult to peel away the backing on the adhesive strip, but once started, it peeled more easily. The adhesive appears to be good and strong, and it does appear to do the trick of creating a water barrier. Overall easy to install and you barely notice it as the barrier is made of a transparent rubber. A bit pricey at over $25 for the 67" strip, b ut a good investment that is preventing far more in damage repairs. Very helpful.

I installed this threshold on our open shower stall. We also use a curtain, but I wanted a little extra height to keep water where it belongs and the shower curtain inside the threshold.Installation was easy. The kit comes with wipes that you use to assure proper adhesion, and a small tube of silicone that you use along the length of the strip after you install it. I tried eye- balling the application, but my strip came out a little crooked. Use a straight edge as a guide if you want it to be perfectly straight. We will see how it holds up, but I don't see any potential issues at this point.

67" Shower Threshold Water Dam Self-Adhesive Silicone Water Barrier & Shower Water GuardThis silicone guard is well made and relatively easy to install. The instructions clearly layout each step and all of the tools needed for a successful installation. It is easily cut to size and a breeze to install. The only issue I had was with the silicone sealant. The silicone sealant is 100% necessary for it to seal properly. The kit includes a tip that screws onto the sealant tube, however the sealant was too thick and would not pass through the narrow tip. I had to use the tube without the tip and that was a bit of a nightmare, thus the four star rating. When installed correctly this strip should prevent water from finding its way out of the shower. The poor design of my shower unfortunately allows more water to escape than I would prefer, but this strip has definitely helped reduce the amount that leaks onto my bathroom floor.Because of its design, I am sure there are even more uses for this strip outside of the bathroom.

Whew! I had begun to wonder about my choices since I couldn't remember why in the world I ordered this? After reading the first review, it all came back to my reasoning in a flash! I don't have a shower although I was suppose to. Didn't even get frameless door. However, I do get standing water in the track the doors slide in. I 'thought' this might help. That is, after I get the other door of the pair back into it's place. It kinda' came off the track & I managed to get a grip on the side there's a handle. Lucky, it's quite an unexpected amount of weight to have to wrangle suddenly. It is sitting next to tub against wall. I did good maneuvering it out safely but that much dead weight having to be lifted & fit correctly back into guide, track & next to other door...uh, as adventuros & thought provoking as I become imagining makeshift household tools to help against gravity to add lift to my petite build to reinstall it, still seems 'scary'. But getting closer & closer to it now that I have the adhesive strip, it seems to need 'doing'.I really do have a reason to order what seems odd later until finding a clue that gives me the "ah ha" moment. I have doors & especially the sinks in need of boundaries to keep water out. Thats the least of the wet problem as it also splashes against the appliances. This is a condo w/small space. I can stand at sink & turn around to do all prep & cooking! So, another to do item. With all the real updating I'm in the middle of trying to do, for every project, 2 maintenance jobs occur constantly. So, I'm gaining on wrong side. Lol. Oh, I definitely recommend the strips.

I did not buy this for my shower, although I see no reason why this wouldn’t work as an effective water barrier for a walk-in shower. A clean dry surface is most important for good adhesion. The flexibility of the silicone strip and self adhesive bottom makes it easy to install and it looks very durable. The silicone tubing collapses easily and more comfortably if stepped on than you would think. The included sealant must be used on the cut ends for a water tight finish. This is an inexpensive solution to keep water contained. Worth every penny of the cost to not have to mop up wet floors after every shower.Alternative Uses:I am currently using a large bowl from an old wash stand as a bird bath. The ceramic bowl has a very smooth and glossy finish, which is a little slick for the birds tiny claws. When I came across this silicone water barrier, I knew it was just what my little bird friends needed. This will go on the rim of the bowl and the soft silicone will allow for a stable grip. It won’t collapse under their weight.I read a review from a man who used a similar product on the concrete floor of his carport to keep rainwater out. He said it worked incredibly well. I have a somewhat similar problem in my garage. Snow melting off our vehicles saturate the floor right in front of our entry door as well as the path to our pedestrian door. This will keep the water by the vehicles and not in our walking space. This is such a great idea. I’ve already purchased more product.I highly recommend.

98" Shower Threshold Water Dam Self Adhesive Silicone Water Barrier Shower Water Guard Wheelchair Accessible Walk-In Shower StopperThis silicone water dam solves the exact problem walk-in showers are supposed to fix without losing accessibility. At 98 inches you get enough length to run across a wide opening or cut it down to fit smaller thresholds, so it works whether you have a standard tub conversion or a custom roll-in shower. The self-adhesive backing sticks solid once the surface is clean and dry, and it creates a low profile barrier that stops water from creeping onto the bathroom floor.Height is low enough that wheelchairs and walkers roll over it smoothly, but tall enough to hold back a real volume of water during a shower. Silicone stays flexible, so it seals against the floor even if there’s a slight slope, and it doesn’t crack or get brittle over time. Water pools inside the shower instead of escaping, which means fewer wet socks, less slipping hazard, and no constant mopping after every shower.Installation is straightforward if you take time to clean and dry the area first. Peel and press, then let it set before running water. Once it’s down it blends in visually instead of looking like an afterthought, and the material is easy to wipe clean with regular bathroom cleaners. For households with elderly parents, people with mobility needs, or just anyone who hates water on the floor, it makes the shower actually usable without adding a bulky curb. This water dam gives you the open feel of a curbless shower with the containment of a traditional threshold. It’s simple, effective, and it changes how comfortable the bathroom feels day to day.
