I purchased it to remove the 1222 cartridge from a Moen single handle fixture. Worked perfectly, and cartridge was removed easily in about 1 minute with little effort.

I replaced a 20 year old 1222 in about 15 minutes with minimal effort using this. I had replaced another 1222 in my house before purchasing this, and it took an hour of constant, high-effort pulling just to remove it. This tool is worth every penny. Look no further.

This cartridge removal tool worked perfectly for a stuck moen cartridge. I might have been able to pull the cartridge out with needle nose pliers but I was worried about pipe/valve damage. A plumber quoted me $500-2000 (high end if the pipe needed to be cut) so this saved us a lot.

More expensive than other alternatives available but the design of this model is definitely superior. Construction quality is great, comes with required hex key, and nice packaging that can be reused.This item works as described and you don’t need to use a wrench like the other models that are cheaper. I tried using a pliers on the valve first and it didn’t budge, but with this tool, the valve came out far easier than I was expecting.I’m sure other design also works well enough but I tried both and I prefer this. It’s easier for me as I’ll be using the tool again in future since I have multiple homes with same valve so the extra cost was okay for me
