Best black light I’ve usedBest black light I’ve used

This is a very good, quality 16.4 foot UV Strip Light. The strip is cutable and seems durable.There is some conflicting info on the web page. The description indicates that a 12V 60W power supply can be used but the product description specifies a 12V 72W power supply. I can say I’ve tried both and they both worked.The kit includes the strip light with 600 UV LEDS, a power connector and several wires that can be used to turn corners by cutting the tape and utilizing the wires.The power connector is color coded red and black which is much better for my eyes than a tiny + and - to indicate polarity.Setup is very easy with no tools needed. Just plug the red wire in to the red slot on the power connector and the black wire in to the black slot. The wire goes further into the connector than you might expect.When plugged in to power the strips heats up fast so this is one strip light you don’t want to run long during testing while it’s still mostly rolled up.The documentation suggests not looking directly at the LED Strip and I believe them that it’s not a good idea. When powered on if you look directly at the strip it will appear as if power is not on. The light is invisible. If you shine the LED strip on something white it will become visible as the UV light interacts with the material.I’ve included two pictures showing a haunted house I 3D printed with florescent filament about 10 years ago. I charged it up with the UV light and I have to say it has never glowed this brightly before. The UV light was turned off when I took the included pictures.I’m excited to buy some fluorescent minerals and stones and put them in a little display case I’ve built.If you have a need for an affordable and powerful UV Strip light then this one is a very good choice.

I was searching for a legitimate UV setup for curing resin projects and highlighting collectibles, and this 365nm LED strip light completely exceeded my expectations. Unlike cheaper blacklights that cast a distracting purple glow, this true 365nm wavelength emits very little visible light while triggering an intense, vibrant fluorescence in uranium glass and fluorescent materials. The 600 high-density LEDs along the 16.4-foot tape provide seamless, even light coverage without creating hot spots or dark gaps in my workspace setup. At 60W, the output is noticeably powerful, speeding up my 3D print resin curing times significantly compared to standard low-wattage strips. The flexible PCB backing laid down smooth and stuck firmly to my mounting channel using the pre-applied adhesive tape. I also appreciated how easy it was to measure and trim the strip at the cut marks for a perfectly customized fit. It runs cool for a high-wattage strip, and the consistent power draw gives me total confidence that the diodes won't prematurely burn out. Overall, this professional-grade 365nm UV tape light delivers incredible performance, pure ultraviolet output, and fantastic value for serious hobbyists and custom display builds.

Perfect for UV Exposure Unit

I ordered this Zegalit True 365nm UV LED Strip Light, 16.4ft 12V 60W High Wattage Flexible Black Light Tape, 600 High-Density LEDs, Ultraviolet for Resin Curing, Uranium Glass & Glow Party (IP20) (IP20) to use for making a UV exposure box for alternative process photography.A few years ago, I made an exposure unit using similar strip lights that were specified as 395nm. The unit has worked well, but my interest in alternative processes has grown substantially and I needed an exposure unit that would accommodate prints larger than the 9x12 size that my original unit can handle. I will need two of these in order to make my 18x24 exposure box. I picked up just one of these to evaluate its effectiveness with cyanotype.I can verify that exposure times with these strip lights are significantly shorter than with my 395nm strips. They both claim the same wattage, so I attribute the faster exposure time to the difference in wavelength. I can also verify that they glow with a very different color profile than my 395nm strip lights. After being lit for about two minutes, there was definitely some heat being generated by the LEDs. I plan to mount these as cut strips on a heat-sinked and fan equipped aluminum sheet, so I don't think the heat is going to be an issue even with longer exposures.If you plan to cut these strips, I strongly suggest that you also pick up clips that will fit onto the ends of the strips as an alternative to soldering wires to them. Although it is possible to solder wires to the copper "pads" that are spaced out along the length of the strip, it does not take a lot of heat to delaminate the copper pad from the strip, nor is it difficult to pull the copper pad right off the strip if you put too much pressure on the soldered wire. The clips do add to the cost of the overall project, but they make the process much faster, easier, and trouble free.These are certainly not the least expensive strip lights, but I've learned from experience that not all strip lights are equal in quality. Not all claims of 365nm have turned out to be true, and wattage ratings have been seriously overstated for others. These Zegalit strips appear to be made with quality LED chips, and I'm hopeful that they will have a long service life in my exposure unit.

whole room is a vibe, zero purple haze

ok so i was skeptical bc every 'blacklight' strip on here is actually that fake purple 395 stuff that just makes everything look bruised. this one is legit 365 — my room looks basically dark until you look at the tapestry, the posters, my friend's white shoes, anything neon, and it POPS. ran it along the ceiling cove behind my bed frame, cut at the little scissor marks for the corner and it turned clean. diodes are close together so no dotted hotspots on the wall like my roommate's strip from the party store.
