I’ve been using this Homelist desk lamp in my Waikiki condo, and it has earned a full five‑star rating from me. The upward‑firing design fills the entire room with soft, even illumination that feels more like natural daylight than a typical task lamp. The brightness is accurate and consistent, and the CRI above 97 makes colors look true when I’m reviewing materials or working on design projects. Functionally it’s a powerhouse with smooth touch dimming, instant startup, and a compact footprint that frees up desk space. My British retriever likes it too; he settles beside me during evening work sessions and seems soothed by the gentle ambient glow. Usefulness is high because it replaces multiple smaller lamps and creates a comfortable workspace without glare. For the money, the value is excellent thanks to whole‑room brightness, premium color accuracy, and a build that feels solid and intentional. Seems like it will last a long time, very sturdy without remote control for a flashlight.

This is one of the most unique desk lamps I have seen. What makes it unique? Indirect lighting. In other words, this desk lamp shines its light upward towards the ceiling and bounces its light off of the ceiling. The intensity of the light going up to the ceiling can be adjusted, but at its most intense setting, it is very bright and can pretty much light up a full room on its own. Indirect light (light being bounced off of an object before it gets to you) is much easier on the eyes than direct lighting. That is obvious when you look at the light output from this lamp. There is something very naturally pleasing about its light output. This lamp can get very hot. If you have small children around, this may not be a wise choice. The lamp gets hot enough to seriously burn a young child's sensitive skin if they touch it. One other thing about this lamp, it is expensive for a desk lamp. True, you are getting a unique lamp that will surely spark interest and conversations with your guests. But is that worth the cost? Only you can answer that for yourself. I am sure that there are people with money to burn that will get this lamp for its coolness factor (and it is very cool). Its high cost might be hard for most of us to justify though. It is a desk lamp after all. Amazon has many desk lamps at half the cost of this one that are high quality and will do an excellent job of providing light for your desk. It comes down too; how much are you willing to spend on a desk lamp?

I have a medium-sized home office and use it occasionally; however, it's a bit dark because I rely only on the built-in light in the ceiling fan.Once I place this Homelist desk lamp, the difference is like day and night. As a reflective light source, it's better for focusing, calming, and reading documentation or books without strain.It is easy to use, with 5200LM brightness and quiet operation. UGR <5 and CRI≥97 mean no glare and better eye comfort. For operation, a single button handles all functions: dimming and on/off. No other complex apps or remote controls; dead simple.Once the brightness is set, it memorizes the setting, so the next time you turn it on, it retains the same settings. Its quality is among the best, as the heat-dissipation vents on the bottom side cool the light source, and the blue hue on the top of the unit shows the modern design and elegance.It is not an economical light fixture, but it solves my specific dim-light problem and makes my workspace more enjoyable.

I was drawn to this light because it has benefits for the eyes being diffused light and having a powerful adjustable LED in a small form factor requiring minimal desk space. The quality of this light is evident the moment you turn it on and see how easily it lights up an entire room, even when placed on a desk that is not in the center of the room. I like the flexibility of how this can be used and in particular the feature to press and hold the button till is dims or brightens to your liking. It then remembers this setting on subsequent touches to turn on and off. It has vent holes all around ti help diffuse heat generate at higher brightness levels . At the highest brightness the heat is a little concerning , esp if the light were to be knocked over. I would like to see and auto shutoff safety feature added. When the light is dimmed some the heat is significantly lower and less worrisome. I think this is an ok value for the money but because of the heat concerns you must purchase it knowing that if you want to run it at full brightness, it is important to turn it off when you leave the room.

I had high expectations for this lamp based on the price. It can be dimmed or brightened by holding power switch. It is shaded on the sides, but open on top. For this reason I recommend placing it above eye level. Otherwise, it's like looking down into a car's high beams. This is just a large flashlight that lacks mobility. I did find a use for it. I place it in my poorly lit bathroom where I trim my hair and beard. It is placed above the medicine cabinet and fully illuminates the room. No more shadowy areas when I am doing detailed work. The buld quality is good. Adjustability of light brightness is helpful. It's suitable for any room you need to brighten. I just don't believe the value for money is there.

This light is super bright! It's compact and powerful. When I first turned it on in my kitchen, about a 200 square foot area, I had turned off all the other lights, and this lamp completely lit up the entire room, brighter than the overhead lights ever have. It's easy to control the light level by touching the power button once to turn it off and on, or long press to slowly dim or increase brightness. It's heavy enough at the base and the diameter is large enough that it doesn't easily tip over and is pretty stable. It comes with a large 240v wall plug. The instructions that came with it have several warnings about looking directly into the top of the lamp as it can harm your eyes. I will say that I had the lamp sitting on a low cabinet and as I turned my head past the lamp and a my gaze moved over the the top of the lamp, it was extremely bright and would have burned my eyes if they had lingered in that direction any longer. I would suggest that it should not be placed on a surface lower than eye level, and up on a shelf. The other thing it warns about is how hot the lamp gets and to use caution with touching it. To this I will say that I had the lamp plugged in and turned on for about ten minutes and when I picked it up to move it, it was very hot to the touch. I am not sure how long this thing is supposed to be plugged in and used, but I do not believe I will be leaving it plugged in for more than a few minutes and I will definitely not be leaving it unattended for any period of time. I am quite impressed with the brightness and the functionality, but it does seem a bit risky to use for a long period of time. I'm not sure how hot the plug would get if left plugged in.

The quality of this Homelist light is absolutely fantastic, there are several quirks and missing details from the product page that buyers should know about before purchasing.THE LIGHT QUALITY IS THE BEST PART: The standout features of this lamp are its eye-care specifications. It boasts a UGR (Unified Glare Rating) of less than 5 and a CRI (Color Rendering Index) of over 97. In practical terms, this means the light is exceptionally easy on the eyes. There is zero harsh glare bouncing off my pages, and the high CRI makes colors look vibrant and exactly as they would in natural sunlight. It is perfect for long reading sessions or detailed work.CONTROLS AND DESIGN: It has a sleek, modern, cylindrical look. The touch control operates with a short press to turn the lamp on, which activates both the main top light and the blue illuminated mid-section (the "auxiliary" light). A slight drawback is that there is no way to turn on the blue section by itself to use as a nightlight; it is tied directly to the main light. Oddly, the box also included a pair of white cotton handling gloves. The instructions do not mention them, but I assume they are to prevent leaving fingerprints on the lens or the sleek black housing?POWER, HEAT, AND THE FAN: The product page does a poor job of explaining how this is powered. This is NOT a battery-operated or USB-powered device. It must be plugged into a standard 120V wall outlet, and it uses a rather large power adapter block (Class 2 power supply, Output: 48V, 1.5A, 72W). Because this lamp draws a very heavy 65 watts of power, it gets quite warm. After leaving it on for 40 minutes, the bottom section with the vents was bordering on hot - still safe to pick up, but noticeably hot. To combat this, the lamp features a built-in cooling fan. It isn't loud, but it is definitely audible in a quiet room.FINAL THOUGHT: If you strictly want top-tier, museum-grade lighting that won't strain your eyes, this light delivers beautifully. However, you have to be okay with an audible cooling fan, a lamp body that gets quite warm, and a bulky wall adapter.
