This pendant light is currently priced right around thirty bucks, and I think that's a steal! It looks really nice - not antique exactly, but definitely older and classic - and it feels heavy enough that you know it's not made of plastic or paper thing aluminum. Installation is straightforward and standard, no surprises. I feel like this size (10ish inches tall) would work in a number of common household spots! Over the sink, over an island in multiples, over a bathtub, in an entry way, etc.

Not always a fan of gold but this one is pretty. Good quality light. It looks great in the room and the style and color is nice with the decor. Easy to install in a standard light box if you know what you are doing. Good value to upgrade your room without spending fortune. This light can be adjusted in height if you need to or swagged.

This is a beautiful gold pendant light for a kitchen island. It’s almost 11 inches in diameter. It can hang from the ceiling up to 70 inches and is adjustable. It uses one E26 socket, and the bulb you select is not included.The manufacturer recommends not using a bulb brighter than 60 W. 60 W of LED light is a tremendous amount of light. I always recommend the formula that a 9 W LED bulb is the equivalent of an old-style 100 W incandescent lightbulb; therefore, 60 W of LED power would be like having 6 1/2 100 W lightbulbs lighting up the kitchen island with this light fixture. That would be very bright; you would not need that much lightI would also recommend for a kitchen island situation that you get a dimmer switch because although you may want very bright lights in the morning when your children are dining and having breakfast there or lunch on a Saturday late at night when you’re sharing a bottle of wine with your significant other, you may wish to make the lights, a little dimmer and more romantic therefore, a dimmer switch should be an important asset to your kitchen island.The structure is made of durable metal and installation is easy. It features an installation plate and bracket that can be secured with standard or decorative screws. The first thing you should do is determine the height in the ceiling you wish to hang the light from. All manufacturers' directions say to shorten or use the full length when hanging the pendant, depending on your needs, so you position the pendant light in the proper location for the particular use, which depends on your ceiling height. Ultimately, after you connect the install plate and bracket to the junction box and have safely secured the decorative screws and/or nuts to connect the canopy to the junction box install plate or bracket, you will need to connect the wires using wire lock nuts.The proper way to use wire lock nuts is to take, and we use the example of the black wire. Take the black wire from the house service side, which is 14-gauge single-strand copper wire. Make certain the insulation is removed from the last half centimeter near the tip of the wire. Next, take the black wire from the fixture, which is 26- or 28-gauge multi-strand copper wire, and make certain the last half centimeter of insulation has been removed from that wire as well. Place the points of both wires adjacent to one another, pointing in the same direction. Cover both with the wire lock nut supplied by the manufacturer. Turn the wire lock nut clockwise until a firm, mechanical and electrical connection has been established. Do the same with the white and green wires. The green wire may well be connected to a piece of bare copper wire rather than a wire with insulation, as it is the ground wire.This is a beautiful fixture that will give you many years of enjoyment in a kitchen island situation or anywhere else in your home.
