Filters fit my12 gal Ridgid [Model WD12450] wet/dry vac without any issues. No securing cover needed, it is now incorporated on the filter. Need to reuse the original plastic nut to secure the filter, none included with filters.

Attaching the main green filter was a struggle at first on my 6 gal Rigid Vac. I then decided to use my vinyl siding tool and was a breeze to attach. I'll give it 5 stars because being tight will not allow dust ect. to bypass the filter and they seem to be made well. I just used the hook with the tool to stretch over the flange of vac. Maybe a little silicone may work also but I had already started install and tool worked great.
