Only for use with Smart home app connectivity. While these light offer nearly everything in terms of color temperature, dimming, even an entire range of color lighting, it requires a hub controller. This is great for voice activated, Smart home controls, set the lights on a timer, turn them on or off remotely, plus any other control of the lights that AI or your Smart home conceives. Where the issue may arise is if the internet connection goes down for some reason or other. Been there, done that, it happens sometimes, and when it does I would rather not be without lights.These are a good light as far as I can tell, they are ETL listed, even the TP24 connectors are UL listed. Depending on your can lights, they may have the TP24 connector already installed above the E26 lamp base, so one could just remove the lamp base and go directly to the connector. Slim fit, they don't take a large amount of space in the can fixture, the white trim ring is a steel material, no cheap plastic that yellows and looks ugly.Also note, these are a retrofit lighting, designed to fit inside your existing 4 inch can light. They do not have the junction box or the clips to directly install in your ceiling. This is not a fault, it's exactly as they are designed to be.My take... great light if you really want your lights app and Smart home controlled. If all you want is to flip a switch and have light, look somewhere else.

I like that these can replace existing 4-inch recessed lights without requiring an entirely new lighting setup. At 800 lumens each, they're also plenty bright for normal room lighting.The amount of adjustment is easily the best part. Being able to move anywhere from a warm 2700K to a much cooler 6500K means I'm not stuck with one color temperature, and the brightness can be dimmed from 1-100%. The RGB colors are more of a fun bonus, but they're great for holidays, parties, or just adding some accent lighting when I don't want normal white lights.Smart controls add a lot to the convenience. I can group multiple lights together instead of adjusting every fixture individually, while still having the option to control them separately when needed. Scheduling is useful as well, and Alexa support makes basic things like turning the lights on, changing brightness, or adjusting the color much quicker. The included hub is appreciated since that's one less component to purchase separately.The music synchronization is fun to play around with, although it's not something I see myself using nearly as often as the regular lighting controls. The Smart Life app provides plenty of options, but getting everything paired and organized takes a little more effort than installing an ordinary LED retrofit. Once the initial setup is finished, though, everyday control is pretty simple.At $129.99, these are obviously a bigger investment than standard LED recessed lights, so I'd only spend the extra money if I actually planned to use the smart features. For a whole-room setup, though, having dimming, adjustable white temperatures, RGB, schedules, grouping, remote access, and voice control all built into the same system is really convenient. I especially like that you can still have normal-looking recessed lighting during the day and completely change the atmosphere of the room whenever you want.

Even though I'm giving them 4 stars, this is a very positive review—they offer a tremendous amount of functionality in a little 4-inch light.At 800 lumens, they're plenty bright, and being able to adjust the white temperature from a warm 2700K all the way to a crisp 6500K makes them much more versatile than ordinary recessed lighting. Then you discover the 16 million RGB colors, and suddenly your respectable living room can become a nightclub with absolutely no warning.The Smart Life app adds a lot of useful control. You can group lights by room, dim them, change colors, create schedules, and even control them remotely. Alexa voice control is another great feature, particularly when your hands are occupied cooking or doing something else. The music-sync mode is fun too—because apparently even my ceiling lights now have rhythm.Installation is straightforward if you already have compatible recessed cans, with both E26 and TP24 connection options included.I'm stopping at 4 stars rather than 5, mainly because smart lighting with an app, hub, grouping, and all these features naturally requires a little more setup than simply screwing in a bulb. Once everything is configured, though, these are bright, versatile, fun, and extremely capable smart lights. Four very enthusiastic stars — excellent lighting with enough colors to make your ceiling question its career choices!
