I’m planning a trip to Japan next year and want to have all the required cords and chargers before I go. What I’ve read is that they use basically the same voltage as in the US, except they don’t have any 3 pronged outlets. This is where this adapter comes in handy - it converts our 3 pronged devices into 2 prongs to fit their outlets. Otherwise, there’s not much difference. These have 2 standard USB ports and 2 USB-C ports, which should cover just about everything I would need. It also has 3 additional 2 prong outlets to allow for more devices. It works well, and charging time via the USB-C ports is adequate. Note that this is an adapter, not a converter, so your device still needs to be 120v. The adapter is fairly compact, though I kind of wish the prongs would fold to make it even smaller.

Travel to Japan and older buildings in the Philippines means running into ungrounded two prong outlets that reject standard three prong US plugs, and this pair solved that in a single step. Each unit takes the grounded plug from my laptop brick or camera charger and converts it down to flat two prong, while adding four AC outlets and four USB ports on the body itself. Two things worth knowing before buying. There is no voltage conversion happening here, so anything that is not rated for 100 to 250V will be damaged, which rules out most US only hair dryers and curling irons. There is also no surge protection, so I would not connect anything sensitive during a storm.Build quality is genuinely solid. The housing feels dense rather than hollow, the AC sockets grip plugs with real tension, and at 2.24 by 3.43 by 2.2 inches and 3.62 ounces it disappears into a packing cube. The four AC outlets are spaced so a chunky laptop brick does not block its neighbors, and the 20W USB C port charged my phone at full speed while three other devices were running.Ideal for anyone traveling to Japan, Mexico, or Southeast Asia with a pile of dual voltage electronics. Skip it if you need a true voltage converter.

I got it for the 2 USB C with the 1 end supposedly a fast charge but it does not work. I tested it with my regular USB c from my fast charger plug. I moved the cord to regular charge USB c then the 2nd opening beside it but for some reason the charging time went from 1hr 30min to fully charge my phone that's half full to 1hr 49min so it will take longer. It only takes 30 min to charge my phone with my regular fast charger plug. If I wiggle the cord the timer go to 11hrs too so it seems the last USB c slot might be faulty. But it does work and is charging so I would use this for regular charging devices that does not require fast charger, or use it to have multiple ports when traveling. I'll still need to bring my fast charger plug so the only pro I see in this is that if you bring this to travel and room only have 1 outlet, this will help with lack of outlet available. Both of the plugs works for all the opening available so it works.

We are taking these on our upcoming trip to Japan, and I think they'll be extremely useful. When traveling, we always seem to run out of places to plug everything in, and this gives us multiple charging options without having to pack a collection of individual chargers. This is a plug adapter, NOT a voltage converter. It provides 3 two-prong outlets, 1 three-prong outlet, 2 USB-C ports, and 2 USB-A ports, so there are plenty of options for charging multiple devices at once. It is compatible with devices that support 100–250V, so be sure to check the voltage requirements on your electronics before using it. It is not designed to convert a device that only operates at a different voltage. The adapter is compact, measuring a little over 3 inches by about 2 1/4 inches, so it doesn't take up much room in luggage. This will be especially helpful for us in Japan because we can plug it into the wall and charge multiple phones, watches, cameras, tablets, earbuds, and other USB devices without carrying several bulky chargers.I also like that it has both USB-C and USB-A ports. We have devices that use both types, so having them built into the adapter means fewer charging bricks and cables to pack. Before our trip, we tested the adapter with the phones, watches, cameras, tablets, and other devices we plan to take, and everything we tried worked properly. That gave us some extra confidence that its functionality is just what we need once we're traveling. One thing to keep in mind: this is a 2-prong adapter, so plugging a three-prong device into a three-prong outlet doesn't necessarily provide a grounded connection. I would also make sure any device being used is rated for the voltage where you are traveling. For our purposes, this is exactly the type of travel adapter I was looking for. It is compact, gives us a lot of charging options in one unit, and should save quite a bit of space in our luggage.

I love to travel internationally. The first time I went out of the country I wasn't prepared for the difference in outlets. Thankfully the folks I travel with were better prepared than I. I've purchased from this brand before for my Fiji/Australia adapter and they worked great so I returned to this brand. This adapter is for a number of countries including Japan and Canada. It comes 2 in a pack and has a number of ports to charge multiple items at once. I haven't traveled with this one just yet but if it's like the other adapter from this brand, it'll be fine. I travel next in Feb of 2027. I will report back on how the adapter actually functions when I return from my trip, but so far I'm pleased. The package also includes a user guide for added info on your new adapters.

This is a really convenient adapter, especially for travel or even just for adding more charging options when you do not have many outlets available. I like that this comes as a two pack because my husband and I can each have one while traveling instead of trying to share a single adapter. Each adapter gives you four AC outlets plus four USB ports, including two USB C ports. That is probably my favorite feature because so many of our everyday electronics now charge through USB or USB C. It makes it possible to charge several things at once without packing a separate charging block for every cord. Despite having so many connections available, the adapter itself is still fairly compact. One VERY important thing to understand is that this is a plug adapter, not a voltage converter. There is even a caution printed directly on the unit stating that it does not convert voltage and that AC devices need to support 100 to 250V. I appreciate that this warning is clearly included because it is especially important with things such as hair dryers, curling irons, CPAP machines, and other appliances. You still need to check the voltage requirements of whatever you plan to plug into it.Overall, this is a versatile little travel accessory with plenty of outlets and charging ports, and getting two makes the set even more useful.
