I put these up in a small storeroom where the studs are exposed and the holes aligned perfectly to install these brackets. The description says they're heavy duty. The metal is quite thick and the rods are 3/8 inch in diameter, but I was surprised at how light they are. I expected more heft so I re-read the description and see that that the 150lb load capacity is per pair - not per bracket, which makes more sense. The metal has a flat black coating that was marred, but isn't visible once shelves are on. They were very generous with the screws and anchors, but once into the studs, these are very stable. It would have been nice to have a paper template included for drilling the wood, which will also require routing out to fit over the rather thick back bar so that the whole shelf sits flush against the wall. They look good, hold securely and are a decent value for the money. Most of the work is in building the shelves as these are a breeze to put up.

They have numerous holes and slots for easy installation. They accommodate shelves of a depth of 8-10 inches. This company also sells a 34 inch length kit. They are very reasonably priced and will give your room(s) a very classy, modern appearance. Don't wait 20 years like I did. Grab some of these, even mix or match and get your place looking good too. I got these shelf brackets to add some floating shelves in my living room. They are 2 foot wide and I used a 2 x 8 board to create a shelf. There are plenty of predrilled mounting holes that make it easier to find a stud to screw into. The brackets are supportive along the entire back edge of the board with standoffs to carry load at each end. I used a 35 lb dumbbell to test the shelf and it held up with no bending or sagging.
