The MTO 1/4-Inch Hex Shank to 1/4-Inch Square Drive Socket Adapter is one of those tools that you simply can't have too many of. I couldn't count the number of times I have searched my toolbox for this combination in order to use my 1/4" drive sockets on a hex drive chuck. When working with sockets, sometimes it would be so much quicker to use a drill instead of doing everything by hand. These socket adapters are perfect for that. Unfortunately, mine only came with 9 pieces instead of the advertised 10, so I am deducting 1 star for that. Guessing I just "got lucky" because the rubber that holds them has 10 slots.As far as the adapters themselves, they feel like good quality and made to last. The black coating should help with rust, which is always a problem with steel tools, especially when the ball bearings start getting stuck and you end up spending extra time cleaning and lubricating them. The ball bearing that holds the socket in place feels just right. It is strong enough to hold the socket, but not so tight that it becomes a fight to remove it.The 1/4" drive is a pretty standard size and works well for those times when you need speed more than torque. My drill quick-change adapter had no trouble locking these in and releasing them. Having several of them is also very convenient because I can keep them in different places, including my toolbox, instead of having to go hunt for one every time I need it. Overall, this is a useful set and the adapters themselves seem solid. I just wish the package had included all 10 pieces like it was supposed to.
