Two Way Paint Roller Extension Pole

The ease of adjustability with this roller extension. Is amazing and it’s so quick to make the adjustment. One thing I find a bit irritating is that when you extend it, the pole had some movement up and down which is annoying when painting for hours. I compared this to my Wooster extension which when extended had no play and is locked down. Overall it’s a great extension pole but just didn’t like this movement.

I am in the middle of painting my entire house all by myself. My house is three floors and has several rooms and areas with very high ceilings, such as my front and rear foyers. When I started painting the front foyer, I was using a generic long-handled paint roller extension pole that I bought several years ago for a much smaller paint job. So, this was the first time that I actually needed to fully extend the pole, which is made of plastic. And once I extended it to reach the higher areas, it started to flex and wobble a lot. And it made it difficult to keep steady, even pressure on the roller. After struggling with it, I decided to stop and look for something sturdier which would be easier to control.When I saw that this extension pole was made of aluminum, I was definitely interested. But I didn't want to buy another unknown brand, so before buying it I looked up ROLLINGDOG on Google and learned that the company was established in 2008, so they have specialized in painting tools for almost two decades. And during that time, they have developed a solid reputation for professional painting equipment and their products get very positive customer reviews. After reading all that, I wasted no more time and ordered it.I was really happy with the quality of the pole as soon as I handled it. The aluminum pole felt much sturdier than the plastic one, but it was still not heavy or uncomfortable to hold. The bottom grip also feels nice. I screwed the same roller I had been using onto it and extended the pole until I could reach the higher area of my front foyer. And the difference was very noticeable. There was absolutely no flex and wobble, and I was able to keep much steadier pressure against the wall while moving the roller up and down.But one of my favorite things about this pole is the way you adjust the length. My old extension pole requires me to loosen and tighten the sections every time I want to change the length. With this one, you just press the button and slide the pole in or out. The movement is really smooth and there are so many different locking positions that you can stop at exactly whatever length you need. Once I let go of the button and it locks into one of the positions, the length stays firmly in place. It really is that quick and easy to change the length. And because of that it is going to be such a smooth and easy process moving back and forth between higher and lower sections of a wall.This is more expensive than generic plastic extension poles but it is definitely worth it. It feels very sturdy and firm when extended, which makes it much easier to control the roller. And it is very easy and quick to change the length while painting. And because of its quality, I know it is going to last me for years.

I have several paint extension poles but none with an extension like this. This pole has a unique extension that extends both ways at the same time when you extend it. The pole itself is good quality and feels pretty solid. The extension and retraction is smooth and very easy to adjust to any length you desire quickly. The handle is good but the hand position can be awkward depending on how far you have it extended. This pole is not light but not heavy either. I have lighter poles with simpler quick extension that feel more solid and are a bit easier to work with. This pole just does not match the quality or feel of some of the other poles I use. I adjust the pole quite a bit when painting especially in rooms that have a lot of corners and varying ceiling height. One of the drawbacks to this pole is that it has a bit of play and feels a bit loose no mater what position it is in. It has about an 1/8" play in and out and you can feel it when rolling and going between the pan and the wall. Its a bit annoying. It does not feel solid. Another potential issue is the exposed metal ladder track in the stick. You will eventually get paint platter or drops of paint in it and it will gum it up and start causing issues with smooth extension and retraction. It will be a pain to clean, With these minor caveats it is still a good painting pole, although, I fee the price is a bit high compared to others. I prefer the purdy pole+ for quality and price.

I must say, the first thing that came to my mind when I unpackaged this roller extension pole was "Whoa, this is the Bentley of extension poles" I'm not making this up. This thing is serious top-shelf equipment. The double slide action is not only quick and efficient, it's very smooth. Gone are the days of having to twist and spin connectors at each break in the pole. Every paint stick should be like this one.Five stars.
