Ultra Thin Invisible Cabinet Door Magnets

The magnet side is very strong. It is less than 1/2 x 1/4 inch and is embedded into the plate, which is about 1/2 inch x 1 1/2 inch and matches the non-magnetic plate the mounts on the opposite side. The non-magnetic side comes with a removable protective film on it. I haven’t yet mounted them on my cabinet (needs refinishing first), so I can’t comment on the strength of the adhesive.

I had trouble with the adhesive backing on these, which failed to function for me. I made a point to prepare the surfaces (inside edges of my pantry cabinet) by wiping and drying with a clean rag before installation. I removed the backing from the metal side and pressed the entire hardware to the inside cabinet door surface, applying pressure for one minute to install securely. Then I removed the backing from the magnetic catch side and pressed the hardware to the inside of the cabinet frame, applying pressure for a minute. Basically, I did everything the directions instructed me to do, because I really wanted this to work and keep my pantry door firmly closed off from my mischievous cat. However, the magnetic catch pulled away from the cabinet frame upon opening the door, peeling off the white paint from the wood along with it. And then I basically had zero options left, because the adhesive is not reusable and there is no alternative mounting option. Trying again with a new set from the pack fared the same, albeit it did not peel away any paint seeing as the wood was already left bare after my first failure. Basically, the adhesive backing is by no means foolproof and if it falls short, then you should basically just go back to the drawing boarding board and find a different product to order. I’m sure there will be other situations down the line where the remaining magnets will prove valuable for me. But right now, I’m mostly miffed about my marred pantry cabinet that still doesn’t shut securely enough.

This item quality is good. They look nice, theres even a protective film on the metal plate side. The adhesive seems strong and they are easy to install. Much simpler and easier than other types of things for cabinets and drawers. I am using these to secure cabinets and drawers from coming open while driving in my camper van. They function very well. The magnetic hold is firm enough to stay put but it’s still very easy to open the drawer with enough pressure applied. Impressive hold for the small size! Overall a great value.

These magnets are easy to install and do a good job of catching and holding the door closed - especially if you have a door that tends to gap open just a bit. They aren't so strong that you have to fight the door to open it - you'll just notice a slight resistance when you open the door - but holds well enough to keep the door in place. I wouldn't recommend these for holding doors or drawers closed in something that moves (camper, van, RV), but these aren't advertised to work in that situation, so it's not a knock on the item or seller. I really like how small these are, they are pretty unnoticeable once installed. I've found the adhesive sticky enough to not come off with repeated opening and closing. So far these have met our expectations - unobtrusive, easy to install, and holds the door closed just enough.

Everyone has that one drawer that just doesn't want to stay put, and my kitchen is no exception. Our problem child drawer, like a ghost, would randomly decide it wanted to roll open. We kept shifting heavier items around inside just to convince it to stay closed.These little magnetic catches solved the problem. They're small enough to stay hidden once installed, but they have more than enough holding power to keep the drawer shut without making it difficult to open.My only complaint is that one of the catches arrived without the adhesive backing, so I had to use a dab of super glue instead. We actually added a little super glue to all of them for extra insurance, so it wasn't a big deal for us, but someone expecting the included adhesive on every piece might be a little frustrated by that quality control miss.

These magnets for cabinets are a good way to hold cabinets from swinging freely. The strength of the magnets are strong enough to hold cabinets doors in place without making them difficult to open. Note that these are not the same as a child lock, since these do not require any special tool or activating of a hidden latch in order to open the door. The adhesive is strong and I have not seen any of them fall on their own or have any problem staying in place. These are a few millimeters thick, so if your doors are usually flush without a gap, these will introduce a gap. However if you already have some kind of existing rubber pad on the corners of your cabinet door that already result in a gap, these will likely not change the gap.
