I’m writing this review for the kosjund's "Floor Gap Fixer Tool for Laminate/Vinyl Flooring, Heavy-Duty Iron Floor Gap Repair Tool with 45° Dual Striking Surfaces, Enhanced Suction Cup (Black+2-Surface Grip System)" in an orange color. The box includes the main unit with roughly 4.75" diameter suction cup and a separate 5.5" silicone sticky grip pad. It also comes with a gap scraper, and an instruction manual. (Note: The manual mentions two grip pads are included, while the product listing says one; I received one.)I bought this tool after a leaking shutoff valve caused my bamboo flooring to absorb water, swell, and eventually shrink back down. This left gaps up to 1/2" wide at some board ends and along lengthwise seams. I wasn’t optimistic about fixing the lengthwise seam gaps with this product, but I figured it was worth a shot.I used the unit with a 2 lb dead blow hammer. With the felt pads attached, it operates quietly. Using just the suction cup, I was able to shift the boards and close most of the end-to-end gaps. The tool “walked” slightly with each strike, but not excessively. Attaching the silicone grip pad made a SIGNIFICANT difference in holding power. The grip pad is very sticky but doesn't seem to leave marks/a residue on the flooring. If you need to use the grip pad, plan time to wash it off/let it dry frequently as any collected dust/dirt will quickly reduce the gripping power it has. While it didn’t close the long seam gaps as I suspected, this tool did successfully closed several of the end-to-end gaps. Overall, I would buy this tool again and choose the option that includes the separate grip pad.

The Kosjund brand floor gap fixer tool works as specified in its Amazon product listing page details. To correct the gap between floating planks on my laminate floor, all I needed to do was:1. Clean the plank that I needed to use the tool on.2. Place the large silicone pad on that clean plank.3. Toggle the vacuum lever.4. Strike the 45 degree striking surface with a rubber mallet.I needed to repeat this procedure two times to reposition my 6" x 24" floating planks. The tool worked very well, and the vacuum action kept it secured to plank. It felt like there was no chance of the tool breaking loose, or slipping while I was using it. There are larger variations of this tool by other brands, but this tool does the job fine, without requiring a lot of space to store it. I have always figured that smaller is better for a seldom used tool. Please note, that though the some images on the product page show a matching mallet being used with the floor gap fixer tool, a mallet is not included with this set. If you don't have a mallet, any hammer with a flat striking face will work, however you may chip the paint on the tool. Even if you chip the paint on the tool, that will not affect the function of it.Had I known it was this easy to fix the gaps in my floating plank floor, I would have done so much sooner. Five stars for working exactly as stated, for an excellent price!

I’m really happy with how well this floor gap fixer works. The heavy-duty iron construction gives it a solid, durable feel, and it doesn’t seem like one of those lightweight tools that will bend or become damaged after a few uses. The enhanced suction cup also provides a good grip on the flooring, which makes a big difference when you’re trying to move a stubborn laminate or vinyl plank back into position.Using it is straightforward. Once the tool is positioned over the plank, the suction cup holds firmly and the dual 45° striking surfaces give you flexibility when working in different directions. I found it much easier than trying to improvise with a block of wood or other tools, especially when dealing with a gap that needed a little more force to close properly. It makes the repair process feel much more controlled and precise.I also like that it is designed specifically for laminate and vinyl flooring rather than being a generic tool. The construction feels substantial enough for repeated use, and the design is simple enough that there isn't much of a learning curve. For the price, I think this is an excellent value. If you install flooring yourself or occasionally need to correct gaps that develop between planks, this is one of those inexpensive tools that can save a lot of frustration. It feels well made, works as intended, and makes a normally annoying flooring repair much easier. Definitely a five-star tool for DIY flooring projects.

If you have floating flooring, you know sometimes, overtime, pieces of flooring can separate and create a gap. I had this gap in my flooring for years. Staring right at me. Menacingly. I swear, it haunted me. I was about to give up and grout it, when I stumbled upon this item AND I AM SO GLAD I DID! All you need is this tool and a hammer. My flooring isn't very textured, so I was able to attach the tool right to the floor piece I needed to move, whack it with a hammer a few times, and the result is SO MUCH BETTER! This device does come with a sticky pad thingy to use on highly textured floors, if that is an issue for you. Also, keep in mind, after you move one piece of flooring, a gap will open up behind it. So you'll have to go piece by piece until you're at a wall. Overall, could not recommend this more!!Before and after pics attached.

Very nice

This floor gap fixer tool works reasonably well for tile and boards that are wider than the tool diameter. It will even grip textured pieces without the additional silicone pad. However, it won't do anything on boards that are narrower than the tool's diameter without the included additional silicone gasket. Unfortunately, the gasket isn't the end-all fix for that situation. It does allow for some kind of grip, and when you're pounding on the tool at a 45 degree angle, it's often plenty, but it will eventually slide and the gasket itself will absorb some of the impact. When it works, it's well worth the money, easy to use, and is durable enough to take a beating.
