Great door handle! I’m slowly working to updating my door handles from the curvy handles to a more modern handle and this one looks great! It’s seems really solid and durable, was really easy to install (I got it down to about 30 seconds now) and love the lock on it! It’s a bit different than other locks I have, as it’s not right on the handle but next to it, so I really like that. It’s just a button you push! This handle is definitely and upgrade from what I had. Highly recommended!

These door handles with lock and keys are great. It's solid metal. Strong. Well made. It will hold up to a lot of use. This is a great value considering the substantial build matches expectations I'd have from going to the hardware store and picking up a similar modern design that's pricier.I love the Matte Black color for certain settings. They offer a Satin Nickel (silver/steel color) which also looks beautiful. Feels good. No strange odors or anything. The fitting is good. The locking is working with the keys and thumb turn. All good. This lock setup can go in all sorts of spots, from external front entry, to internal spots where you want added security. Be sure to read the specs that your door area handle the sizing, or if you're doing a fresh door then no problem.Everything you need to get it fully set is included. You only need a screw driver. They even include spare screws, which all manufactures should do. Nice touch. The handles and turning have appropriate hefty weight and feel. Door handles with locks are also super handy to add extra privacy to bathrooms, bedrooms, or any rooms you don't want guests rummaging around in. Very useful and nice.

This HOSOM privacy door handle is a nice, modern upgrade to the typical builder grade door levers in many homes. The matte black finish is timeless and can complement just about any decor, while the square rosette adds a bit of a less traditional touch. It comes with all the necessary parts to make a swap, including a black strike plate to match the door lever. Note that the strike plate has a protective plastic film on its face so you'll want to peel that off after install to make it look nice.In hand this lever set doesn't feel quite as hefty as ones that I've used from Kwikset in the past, but it still doesn't feel overly lightweight and cheap.The lever rotates smoothly and quietly with no grittiness, albeit requiring a little more effort than the levers on the rest of my doors. Its spring is just a bit firmer than I'm used to. The privacy lock is easy to use and if you lock it, you can still open the door from the locking side just by rotating the lever (i.e. you don't have to pull out the locking button first). It can also be unlocked from the outside using a narrow pin (provided) just in case. I appreciate that the locking button is oriented in such a way that it remains in the same location regardless of whether this is installed on a left or right hand swing door. (Some poorly designed levers will end up with the locking button on the top or bottom of the lever depending on the door swing.) The included instructions are sufficient for the average capable person to be able to swap out their existing door handle for this one; a template is included in case you are boring a new, unbored door, but that is a bit more advanced skill-wise and will require additional tools not included.While this door lever isn't quite on par with alternatives from the major brands like Kwikset or Schlage, it's also about half the cost. At the time that I ordered this set, it was selling for $18.99; a similar looking leverset from Schlage would be around $35 to 40. Given that when you replace door hardware, you're typically doing it throughout a house and can be easily replacing a dozen door handles, that savings adds up quickly, so I think that this HOSOM lever set represents a solid value.

I am in the middle of remodeling my entire house, which includes replacing most of the light fixtures and hardware throughout the house. Part of that includes replacing all of my old standard, round door knobs with lever-style handles like this one. I am also going for a more modern look with the remodeling, so I am changing the traditional polished metal finishes to mostly a black matte finish. Unfortunately, I have already bought several door handles from a hardware store that turned out to be poor quality with the doors not fully closing properly. So, before I ordered this one, I first looked through the HOSOM storefront on Amazon. I was happy to see that they only specialize in finish hardware and have a lot of products with high ratings and a large number of reviews. I also looked through a handful of their products and several of them had Amazon's Choice labels on them, which is always a good sign. So, I was really looking forward to seeing how the quality of this handle would turn out.When the handle arrived, I was very happy with it. The metal has a good solid feel and weight to it, and the matte black finish was completely even with no scratches at all. The square strike plate and locking cylinder also felt well-made and sturdy. The lever pushes down smoothly and the latch moves in and out without sticking. And there is no loose movement in the handle after I tightened everything down, which is usually not the case with cheaper handles. Installation was exactly the same as replacing any standard interior, round door knob, and all of the screws and parts needed were included. The handle has a lock on the inside and the outside can still be opened through the pinhole in case you accidentally lock the door by mistake.After having already bought and returned a few disappointing door handles, I am real glad this HOSOM handle turned out to be such good quality. It feels solid and all the parts feel very well-made, the door opens and closes with no issues, and the matte black finish looks great with no scratches or imperfections at all. And the price is amazing at only $19. I highly recommend it.
