Love this light!At first it was tricky to figure out because it does not come with any directions.After flicking the lights on and off for a while I noticed that’s exactly how it works !To use this light you simply install it & flick the light switch on and off to change the settings.The light is seemingly made to last . It does not put off much heat or energy use.The light has a flame setting and wheel it is nice it just looks like a projector inside the bulb . It definitely gives the illusion of a live flame but it’s easy to tell it’s a LED.Despite that, it’s a good bulb & it’s a great quality one .

I have a bunch of solar lights in my yard using this realistic flame effect and I really enjoy them a lot. These are bulbs meant for a hardwired electrical connection. Like an indoor lamp or maybe a outside lantern by a doorway like the amazon page shows. The bulbs fit an E26 socket which is the most common socket most of us use. If you live in the USA, any generic lamp in your house is an E26 socket. The bulbs are packed with features like 'gravity sensing" which allows you to mount the bulbs facing up or facing downward and the flame effect can change according the the direction it's mounted to maintain the realism. The other options are flame mode, a soft steady on mode, and a 'breathing mode' where the light slowly pulses. Selection for each mode is done by turning the light fixture off, then on again. If you want the next option then turn the light fixture off then back on again. Do this to cycle through all the options until you arrive at the one you want. You should know that these bulbs are designed to be used for atmosphere / seasonal displays and have a built in light sensor that will turn them off in daylight and back on at night automatically using sensors in the lights. The lighting effects are really good. There are a lot of flame effect lights and bulbs that are just jumping on the popularity bandwagon and don't have a flame effect. These ones are good ones. You get two bulbs in this set and as I said they are an e26 socket and measure roughly 5" tall top to bottom and about 2-3/4" wide. They are pretty cylindrical shaped so the measurements are uniform along the length of the bulb. The product page on amazon has pictures of great uses for these bulbs. If you don't mind the extra dramatic flare of having flickering flame bulbs they are great for outdoor lighting on the house or on lanterns in the yard or on either sides of entry thresholds like gates. The company mentions that the bulbs are upgraded to use less energy and to have a longer lifespan. I can't confirm either since I have only recently gotten them and plan to use them for a Halloween display. Assuming that the claims are true, it makes the value for money really compelling here. Another thing about these bulbs that adds value is that hey offer a 720 day guarantee for their lights. Much longer than the Amazon 30 day guarantee. The price has gone up from $17.99 to $19.99 since I got mine. I'm guessing because we are inching closer to Halloween each day. Might be better to get them sooner than later if you want them at a decent price or wait till after Halloween.

These look and work great! Much better than I had expected. They definitely give the exterior of a house or building the look of something more castle-like with the torches burning at the entrance. Great for a haunted house, as an example. I happen to have a lot of dusk to dawn outside lights with the burning torch effect, I like the less manicured look of them, like a luau effect. So, as I happen to have an additional building with two exit doors and a light outside of each one, I decided to put these bulbs in instead of the white light ones already in them. I looked out last night and definitely like the effect however, the lighting outside the doorway is quite diminished so, if I'm trying to see the door lock, it isn't quite as easy anymore. Still, the fire bulbs blend really well with the rest of my garden lights so, I think I'm going to add a small motion light over the top of the door just so I can see the door lock/handle well. Great product, easy to use - screw in and forget about them, and good value too.

I have been wanting a couple of these flame light bulbs for the holidays, so I decided to give these a try, and I am really impressed. The flame effect looks surprisingly realistic and honestly reminds me of a real flickering candle.I actually like them so much that I am not even going to wait for the holidays. I plan on leaving them up year round because they look that good. They use a standard E26 base, so they fit right into a regular light socket with no issues, making installation quick and easy.I also like that you can switch between four different lighting modes just by turning the light switch off and back on. It is a simple feature, but it is nice to have the different options. They seem well made, and I think they are a great value for a set of two.If you are looking for an easy way to add some character to your porch or patio, I think these are a great option.
