This set of 100 double wire plug connectors with locking plastic closures are just as shown in the product photos, even if the photo instructions for use are not currently correct.That product photo that shows 4 steps of installation - step 1 & 2 have issues.- First, if you look closely at the attached photos, you see that the design is one where the wire insulation gets cut so the metal on the plug will make an electrical connection - you don't want to strip the wires! So the product photo (step #1 & #2) showing the wires stripped probably isn't going to work unless you're using larger wire than these connectors are designed for.- Second, in product photo step #2, they show the wire going into the connector, and then the cover being closed. THAT'S NOT GOING TO WORK. The wires must go into the holes in the cover, and THEN the cover can be closed (which should force the wire insulation to be cut and the electrical connection be made.) Simple enough, just wrong in the product photo.Once you get past the bad instructions, (and get the clear cover open for the first time!), these are easy enough to work with.There is no sense of 'gender' to the connector plugs - they are all the same and have a symmetric fit to connect. Because of that, you will need to be very mindful of which wire of one plug is connecting to which wire of the other plug you are connecting to.(For example, if you always install the 'red' wire on the right of the plug, you'll be swapping polarity at every connection. Make sure instead, that once connected, the same color wire is feeding to that same color on the connecting plug, right?)The price (about 7 pennies each, or just under $7 for 100) is low enough that these are certainly worth considering if they meet your needs. The quality is certainly fair for the money, and the installation is easy and simple, however you might be cautious using these in a situation where you need to frequently reconnect (but the cost of replacement is certainly low if it breaks!), and you don't want to use these anywhere its going to get wet as there's nothing water tight or water proof about them.

I have been redoing some small wiring like speaker and sprinkler wiring around the house. I kept seeing thwse little connectors and really wanted to give them a try.These definitely snap together securely. And the top closes securely. They do not come with any directions, so I went back to the product listing to see how to open them.I have had to push the wires through the clear top and then close them. The clear top doesn't close otherwise.I also think the speaker wire I have is 16 awe. I stripped it and put it through the top and then closed it just to try them out. And the top does close that way. However this system definitely relies on not stripping the wires. The plastic on the wire actually holds them in place.Given the lack of directions with the product and the wrong directions on the product listing, I think the seller could do a little better in the information department.However, the connectors are strong and snap closed and together very securely. I just have no experience with them. Others certainly would not experience the same issues that I have.I think these are great little connectors and I am happy to have them in my little electrical supply tote. Happily recommend them to anyone with experience already. And the price is right for the number of connectors received based on a preliminary and brief look through similar products.
