Replacement Cartridge Shower Filter for jolie shower head filter

I was happy to have the chance to try the Bblife shower filter replacement for my Jolie shower head. The Jolie has been a game changer for me, and my hair and skin have improved since using it, but the expense of the Jolie official filter cartridges adds up, so it would be great to find an alternative to save money.The Bblife cartridge is shaped similarly as the Jolie, but is clear. It fits the Jolie showerhead perfectly, as shown. What matters to me the most, though, is how it performs. Does it filter as well as the Jolie filter?I had some water quality testing strips on hand, so I decided to test it vs. the tap water from the bathtub spigot vs. the water through the filtered shower head using the Bblife filter. When I did this test with the Jolie, I noticed a much bigger difference in water quality between the Jolie filter and tap water. The difference in water quality is slightly better than the Bblife filter than from the unfiltered spigot, but it's not remarkable. As pictured, the Bblife filtered water (left) results are similar to the tap water (right). The Bblife filtered water appears to have an ever so slightly lower PH, alkalinity, carbonate and fluoride, and is a little softer than the tap water but still very hard. I acknowledge this is an at-home water quality test, and not a scientific laboratory test, so it's an imperfect comparison. But the differences I observe are enough for me to come to a directional conclusion.My POV is it was worth a try, but I will continue to pay the premium for the official Jolie filters. The shower head was an investment, and one that has improved my hair and skin, so I want it to perform as intended. Based on the difference in water quality testing results, I'm not convinced that changing to the Bblife filter makes sense, as the water quality appears to be about the same as tap water.

The reason I ordered the Bblife filter cartridges has everything to do with the quality and quantity of the filtering media they contain. It’s been scientifically proven that the three ingredients included, calcium sulfite, KDF and activated carbon are the optimal media for filtering out harmful toxins from shower water. Each is ubiquitous in household, industrial and municipal water filtering systems worldwide.The KDF redox process is certified by NSF International specifically as a filtration media for shower heads. Through a chemical reaction, KDF can changes contaminates like chlorine, lead, mercury, iron, hydrogen sulfide, and other heavy metals into harmless substances. In addition, it inhibits the growth of bacteria, algae, and fungi in the showerhead, improving overall water quality.Calcium sulfite has the ability to efficiently remove chlorine and chloramines from the water. Moreover, calcium sulfite is fast acting, making it ideal for fast flow water situations like showers. Activated carbon has a large surface area and high density of micropores, allowing it to better absorb contaminants. For those reasons it’s used globally for the management of water pollution. It’s used in a variety of water filtering systems, including reverse osmosis, and especially those used to purify drinking water.We use only shower filters containing the ingredients that Bblife uses for theirs; any combination of KDF, carbon and calcium sulfite. As far as I’m concerned, anything else is superfluous and takes up valuable space that could otherwise be used for effective media. We’ve been filtering our shower water for at least the past two years with KDF, activated carbon and calcium sulfite and have benefited from healthier skin and hair. Our municipal water is so laden with chlorine that practically smell like a public swimming pool; when filtered, the smell is gone.Moreover, the clear plexiglass filter housing provides literal transparency that you’re getting what’s advertised. Additionally, it facilitates a clear, visual confirmation of the cartridge’s life state; when the KDF turns black, it’s exhausted, and so is the efficacy of the filter. The ability to inspect the media visually allows the user to optimize the filters lifespan.

This replacement cartridge fits my Jolie showerhead perfectly and appears to be well made. What caught my attention is that, in addition to KDF media, it contains activated carbon and calcium sulfite. It fits perfectly and appears to be very similar in construction to the original and to several other replacement filters I’ve tried.What makes this one interesting is the filtration media. The listing says it uses KDF along with activated carbon balls and calcium sulfite. The activated carbon is intended to address odors, discoloration and organic matter, while the calcium sulfite is intended to help remove chlorine.I obviously don’t have a laboratory setup to test what’s actually being removed from my water, so I can’t tell you whether this performs better or worse than the original Jolie filter. I’m taking the manufacturer’s claims at face value rather than presenting them as something I’ve independently verified.That said, it fits properly, appears well made, and is an interesting alternative to the OEM filter.

Fits my Jolie shower head perfectly! I love that I can get this replacement at a fraction of the cost of brand name and it works the same. This is a great replacement value.

This replacement filter was exactly what I needed for my Jolie shower head. It fit perfectly with no issues at all, and installation was incredibly easy. It literally took me about 30 seconds to install and I was done.I love when a replacement part is actually straightforward and doesn’t require any tools, instructions gymnastics, or wondering if you bought the right thing. It slid right into place and worked as expected. So far I have not noticed any leakage issues, the water pressure is the same as before, it seems to be durable and will last the full 3 month period before recommended change.Perfect fit, super easy installation, and great value for a replacement filter. I’ll definitely buy these again.

high quality filter materials make all the difference! i live in a rented apartment in Los Angeles so my water is super hard and full of chlorine. I used to have a 15+ step filter that i found out was mostly just unnecessary filler materials, that’s when i did my homework and found out the good filters typically only use the 3 main filter materials, just like this one.. I noticed a difference immediately in the way my hair/skin feels - both during and after showering.. shampoo and conditioner seemed to wash out fast and styling required less products and time, i’ve also had less hair fallout, and my sensitive KP skin is not nearly as agitated after the shower. i really appreciate the fact that its in a see-through container too so i can tell when it needs replacing.

We have well water at our home in Maine, so we purchased two Jolie shower heads to help filter the impurities that naturally occur in our water. OEM filters are pretty expensive and in a home with 3 young women who take long showers, we were spending a lot of money on replacements. Decided to give this one a try and I’m happy we didn’t it fits our Jolie heads perfectly and I like that you can see the filtration material inside. Now that we’ve had a chance to use it a bit, I can confirm that it performs exactly as our Jolie filters did at a much better price.
