I got this bath filter to replace a previous one that didn't really work anymore after replacing the cartridge. Once I did that on the smaller unit, water no longer passed through. Apparently the replacement cartridge I put in did not allow fast enough water flow to prevent the water from just overflowing over the top. This one has a much better shape for that, as the larger silicone ball stick out way further over the top of the cartridge. I'll have to try the water flow on that replacement cartridge to see if the result is different. Another plus of this one is that the previous filter was developing obvious signs of wear from the water, which was weird. I don't expect that from silicone, I'll eventually update if that happens.Of course, the filter itself is great when you have harsh water from your faucets (ours smells like chlorine). Filtering the bath faucet is way trickier than the shower, but it seems to make some difference. A full tub no longer smells of chlorine, and that's something that's always on my mind when giving my kids a bath.

I’m going to be honest that upon first use, I thought I would rate this bathtub water filter very low.But I was surprised to notice that my kids’ PERSISTENT eczema on several parts of both their bodies has cleared up almost completely since using this filter.My issue with the filter is that it fits terribly on my tub handle, and the water doesn’t all flow through it. The silicone hanger is way too long and leaves the filter hanging down to the back of the water flow. I have to wrap the handle around the shower button (the thing you pull up and down to switch between shower and tub) a few times, almost pushing it up, in order for the water to flow through it. Also, the water obviously is flowing around the filter itself, so not all of it is being filtered. I honestly thought that all the little balls could just be a scam in general, but again, my kids eczema cleared up with no other changes in diet or meds.Overall, I think the silicone casing could be much better designed, but since it’s made such a difference for my kids, I am only removing one star. Any price is worth fixing a long term issue like the skin problems my babies have dealt with for so long!

I was really looking forward to this bathtub filter. My current one is a hard plastic ball that can get in the way of the tub spout when we pull up the diverter for the shower. I thought the softer, flexible design of this one would solve that problem and that the rubber handle would help it stay securely on the spout.Aesthetically, I really like it. It looks nice, the material feels good, and I like the length and flexibility of the handle.Unfortunately, I had two problems once I actually used it. First, as the silicone ball filled with water, it expanded around the filter cartridge. This created space between the filter and the sides, allowing quite a bit of water to simply flow around the filter rather than through it.The second problem was the flow rate. The filter couldn't process the water as quickly as it was coming from my bathtub faucet, so the container filled up and water started pouring over the top. My old bathtub filter uses what appears to be a very similar type of cartridge, but I don't have this problem with it.I really wanted to like this because I much prefer the flexible design to my hard plastic filter. Unfortunately, if a significant amount of the bath water is either bypassing the filter or overflowing completely, it isn't accomplishing what I need a bathtub filter to do.
