I had decided that the ceiling fixture in my living room was too modern in design for my 1949 bungalow. I saw the listing for this Semi-Flush mount ceiling light with a clear peacock feather glass shade and thought it would be period-appropriate. Indeed it is, but my size perception was inaccurate despite the site's clearly listing its dimensions. Although my living room is small (everything in a bungalow is small), the fixture would be dwarfed by the room. I was challenged to find a better location where this light's beauty would be apparent. I have decided that the hallway leading to the bedrooms would be the best location. I have a vintage gold mirror hanging in that hallway. This light, with its gold ceiling fixture and its vintage-style glass, is a natural complement to the mirror. The pieces will enhance each other. The family handy man is not available at the moment, so I will post a photo when its installation is complete. With its crystal-clear glass, I expect it the fixture to brighten a somewhat dim hallway. The price point is very reasonable for the quality of this piece.

Nice, quality, lighting fixture for semi flush mounting to a ceiling. The unit doesn't protrude far and can be used with lower ceiling heights. I like the appearance of the colored glass shade and the installation in a bedroom proceeded without any problems.
