These are pretty great and ended up being the perfect addition to a closet that desperately needed some organization. No messing around with separate brackets or cutting wood since the shelf is basically ready to mount aside from some minor quick assembly.The only thing I did differently was use better quality anchors and a stud finder to make sure at least one side was mounted into wood instead of relying completely on sheetrock. I used butterfly anchors on the other side which is probably overkill, but I'll sleep better knowing they're there instead of trusting the generic cheap anchors that seem to come with everything these days.Once mounted they're sturdy, look clean and give you quite a bit of extra storage without taking up floor space. For a closet, laundry room or garage, I definitely recommend them too. Just make sure to use a level instead of eyeballing it.

I have used Ultrawall products in the past and have been very happy with how they've held up. I expect these shelves to be no different. At 18" wide, they were a perfect fit between my two garage doors, allowing me to catch the stud on both sides. To get the full strength rating, these need to be mounted to solid wood, like the studs, or to a concrete or block wall with the included fasteners. I was able to mount both sides to studs which gave a firm and solid result. The supplied "L" mounting brackets are sturdy and easy to install. The wire construction is quality with no sharp or exposed edges, and the welds look neat and secure. The powder coat finish is even and should provide long term durability. The spacing of the wire was a little wide, so to prevent smaller items from falling through, bins, cubbies, or a tray can be used.

I was working at the vise with a tool in one hand when I needed a clean can from the shelf behind it. The can in front was in the way, so I reached over it instead of clearing the bench. The shelf's raised wire edge kept it from sliding forward. I could read the label through the open grid from below. I picked the can without putting down the tool.Both shelves are mounted above the workbench. The mounting holes lined up with my 16 inch studs, and the included hardware covered my setup. I put more cleaner cans on the second shelf. The front edge is fairly low, but it was enough to hold the can in place. When the repair was done, the can was still where I had left it.

I've had good experiences with ultrawall products, and these shelves are another great addition. They feel sturdy and well made, with heavy-duty metal construction that is much more substantial than inexpensive wire shelving.The 18 x 12-inch size provides a good amount of storage without taking up any floor space. These would be good in a garage, basement, laundry room, utility room, or closet for storing cleaning supplies, tools, batteries, detergent, and other items that tend to create clutter.Installation is straightforward, and once properly mounted the shelves feel very solid. I also like the raised edges, which help keep smaller items from sliding off.Overall, these are exactly what I expect from utlrawall - sturdy construction, solid design, and a good use of otherwise wasted wall space. They're a nice addition anywhere you need some extra organization.

Ultrawall tends to make very high quality products, and these wall mounted storage shelves are no exception.I wasn't 100% sure how I was going to use these when I ordered them. I am trying to make better use of vertical space. Now that I own my home, I don't have to worry about losing a deposit. I think these are most appropriate for a storage or laundry area, or a garage just because of their size. They are bigger than I expected. My kitchen is too cramped for these, but they might work there if you have a wide open space. They don't look rough or super industrial, but I wouldn't use them in my family room because they might get in the way.The screws and anchors required to install these are rather large. If you rent, I would not install these for a number of reasons. 1) the size of the required holes in the wall 2) because of how deep they go, you want to know what is behind the wall (pipes, electrical wiring?) because hitting those things could be a problem.I installed these in my laundry area to get rid of the clutter sitting on top of my washer. Installation was pretty simple. The shelves are sturdy for holding detergent and other supplies. One thing I know about Ultrawall products is that if you install their products according to the instructions, they will hold and last forever. The coating on these shelves isn't scratched easily, which means they will resist rust. With the high quality brackets, the sturdy metal shelves, and the larger screws/anchors, I have no doubt these shelves will last. Using them for laundry detergent and hand soap storage is underutilizing them. But I don't have a garage or basement to install them in.

These are fantastic shelves for the money, plenty big and steady as a rock once installed. Setup is straight-forward and simple, easy enough for any level of DIY experience, and they include the hardware to put them up.This is my second set of this type of Ultrawall shelves, and I learned how truly strong they are because I placed my first set around my eye level in the garage, and my 11 year old nephew can not resist hanging on them. Of course I tell him to knock it off, but that kid has a nose for anything that can support his super-monkey abilities, and these shelves installed on a stud can take it... I just make sure to keep them full so there is no room for him to grab on! The metal is super strong and durable, and is holding up beautifully in our garage. I know from my first set that they can tolerate a sometimes moist environment really well, our garage gets moist enough Fall to Spring that I need to run a dehumidifier in there, so anything prone to rust is a big problem. My Ultrawall shelves aren't showing even the tiniest speck of rust, a big win in my book.These are well worth the money, and I know I'll buy more in the future, highly recommend for quality and strength.
