These gimbal recessed lights, have been a perfect upgrade for highlighting, specific areas of my hallway. The angled eyeball design lets me, direct the light exactly where I want it, which is great for accenting artwork. Having five selectable color temperatures is incredibly convenient, since I can match the lighting mood to any room without buying different bulbs.Installation was simple, thanks to the canless design and included metal junction box, so I didn’t need extra housing. The dimmable feature works smoothly, giving me full control over brightness for different times of day. Build quality, feels sturdy and the black finish looks sleek and modern, against my ceiling. Six lights in one pack is a great value, especially since they all performed, consistently well. I’m very happy with the overall look and function, these have brought to my home.

These are actually really nice little recessed lights. I like that they’re only 2 inches because they look clean and minimal once installed, but they still put out a good amount of light.The gimbal part is probably my favorite because you can angle the light instead of having it point straight down, which is useful if you want to highlight a wall, artwork, cabinets, or just direct the light where you actually need it. I also like having the different color temperature options so you’re not stuck with one tone.Everything feels pretty solid for the size, and the junction boxes are compact and straightforward. They definitely feel more thought-out than the basic tiny recessed lights I’ve seen before.For a modern, low-profile look, I’m really happy with these.

These are ETL certified, and at roughly thirteen dollars a fixture in a six pack they feel and look higher quality than I was expecting. The one thing buyers need to check before ordering is the dimming type -- see below.THE GIMBAL -- THIS IS WHY I LIKE THEM:The gimbal action is firm but still easy to position, and it stays rock solidly wherever you stop it. That sounds like a small thing until you have fought the alternative. Plenty of gimbal fixtures have what amounts to backlash in the mechanism, so getting one precisely aimed becomes a chore of overshooting and creeping back. These do not. Aim it once, walk away, done. It is the single best thing about this fixture.THE DIMMING -- READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY:The power supplies state they are triac dimmable. That is genuinely convenient for a retrofit, because it means they work on the standard line-voltage wall dimmer already in the box. But they are NOT 0-10V dimmable, which is what more modern LED lighting installations use. If your dimming infrastructure is 0-10V, these will not work with it. That is not a defect -- it is a spec, and the listing does not put it where you can see it.THE CONSTRUCTION:1) 24 AWG wire, rated 300V and 80C, runs from the driver box to the fixture, terminating in a three-pin screw-to-connect socket connector.2) The junction box claims suitability for damp locations.3) The box ships with three push-in wire connectors rather than the cheaper wire nuts. Credit where it is due -- push-ins cost the manufacturer more and make the install faster and more reliable, and a lot of sellers at this price will not spend it.THE COLOR SELECTION:There is a slide switch on the end cap of the power supply that selects the color output. All colors looked true to what was advertised.One caution on that, and it is a listing error rather than a product one: the product title lists the selectable temperatures as 2700K / 3000K / 4000K / 5000K / 6000K, while the description bullet lists 2700K / 3000K / 3500K / 4000K / 5000K. Those are two different sets -- one has 6000K and no 3500K, the other has 3500K and no 6000K. If you are matching an existing run of fixtures at a specific temperature, confirm the actual switch positions before you commit to six of them.THE INSTALLATION:Prescribed cutout is 2.2 inches, and they include a 2.2 inch circular piece of cardboard to trace around. That is a small, thoughtful inclusion -- a template you actually get instead of a dimension you have to lay out yourself.BOTTOM LINE:Well built, ETL certified, honest on color, and the best gimbal feel I have used at this price. Buy them if you are on a standard triac wall dimmer; look elsewhere if your system is 0-10V, and verify the CCT list before ordering if a specific temperature matters to you.

These 2 Inch Gimbal LED Recessed Lights honestly surprised me with how nice they are. For a tiny spotlight, they illuminate well and don't have any distracting color fringes at the edge of the light they cast.One of my biggest priorities in lighting is that it doesn't flicker, and with the two dimmers I had to test (Lutron Caseta and Zooz Zen72), they didn't flicker at across the dimming range, which goes down to a nice but not amazing 5% at the lowest. I can't directly test the claims of CRI, but they do seem better than an 80 CRI bulb I had on hand.The ability to choose from color temperatures from 2700k to 5000k is nice, and those temperatures matched other bulbs of the same rated color temp against which I had some available to compare.While 15 degrees of adjustment isn't going to replace track lights for directional lighting, these could easily light up artwork, bookshelves, or provide some task lighting. The light falls off at the edges of the spot, but does so evenly.They do produce rather harsh shadows so I wouldn't want them as primary task lighting over something where you want really nice even light like a work bench or other detail work, but they should would work for most other situations and they're small enough to fit in places that other lights might not even be an option. IC rating means you shouldn't have to worry about keeping away from insulation and they shouldn't get too hot.Overall, I'm happy with these lights and look forward to installing more of them to show off art around the house.

I’m very impressed with these 2-inch gimbal recessed lights, especially for the price of a 6-pack. They’re an excellent option when you want a clean, modern recessed-light look without having to install traditional cans.Installation was super easy, and having the included junction boxes made the process straightforward. The lights are compact and low profile, so they fit nicely in areas where a larger recessed fixture would be overkill. The spring clips hold everything securely once installed.I really like the selectable color temperature feature. Being able to choose between the different CCT settings makes it easy to get the exact look I want for the room without having to buy different lights. The adjustment is simple and convenient.The gimbal design is another big plus. Being able to rotate the light and angle it gives me much more control over where the light is directed. This is especially useful for highlighting a wall, artwork, shelving, or specific areas of a room rather than having the light point straight down.The brightness is just right for my needs. At 580 lumens from only 6 watts, they provide plenty of light while still being energy efficient. The light also has a nice quality to it, and the high CRI helps everything look more natural.Overall, these are an excellent value for a 6-pack. They’re bright, easy to install, highly adjustable, and the selectable color temperatures make them very versatile. I especially love the gimbal adjustment and the clean appearance once installed. The little light that impresses. While 580 lumens is not a particularly bright light, this is an excellent light output for the small size. For comparison, a typical 6 inch recessed light will be in the 900-1100 lumen range so note the amount of light you need for your application. You may need to get either a larger light or use multiple of these small ones if this is not enough. Either way, I find the amount of lumens this one has to be great for its size.Dimmable, and compatible with most line voltage dimmer switches. I prefer that the LED dim down to the 1% range rather than the 10% this one has.Selectable color temperature, a CRI of 90 so the color of the illuminated item will reflect quite accurately.The adjustment range of the gimbal is a little shallow at only 15 degrees, and the is beam angle is not specified. It's not a spot light, but it does hold the light together well enough to do a lighting wash.Airtight installation, this has a foam seal and the gimbal itself is airtight. Suitable for use on ceilings below attics, cathedral or roofline ceilings, bathrooms, or other areas where you don’t want air and moisture transfer.ETL listed! Required for code compliance in the US and Canada.Installation is largely par for the course with many other recessed light fixtures. Only with this small size you have limited room to reach for your power supply cord, Drill a 2-1/8 in hole, ideally you will have a hole saw or similar to drill the hole. The small size junction box is cleverly designed to slide inside that small hole. Comes with UL listed Wago style push connectors for easy connections, I would highly recommend only one set of wires inside due to the compact junction box.My take… strong performance and ETL certified safety makes this a winner

These are surprisingly nice little gimbal lights. They are only 2-inch fixtures, but they do not feel like cheap mini wafer lights. The trim, gimbal action, lens/reflector assembly, springs, driver box, and overall finish all feel very solid for the size.The output is also impressive for such a small light. The box lists these at 6W, 580 lumens, 36-degree beam angle, 90 CRI, and 5 selectable color temperatures. That is a strong spec set for a micro recessed/gimbal fixture, especially with the more controlled beam instead of the flat, wide glare you get from many wafer lights.I really like the gimbal mechanism. It has a high degree of movement for such a small fixture, and the resistance feels right — not loose or floppy, but still easy to aim. These would be great for accent lighting, small task lighting, highlighting artwork, sloped ceilings, niches, shelves, or anywhere you want a compact adjustable beam.The driver box also looks better than average. It is marked ETL/Intertek, Type IC, triac dimmable, damp-location suitable, PF >0.9, 90–130V input, and constant-current DC output. The wire connections and included hardware look normal, and the fixture appears to have good gasketing/air-sealing details for this type of light.The black finish looks excellent. It has a clean modern appearance, and the lens/reflector design gives it a more premium look than a basic flat LED puck. It is not a deeply recessed anti-glare fixture, but for a tiny 2-inch adjustable light, it looks and feels very well executed.Overall, I’m impressed. These feel like high-quality compact gimbal lights with good output, good color-rendering specs, adjustable white, smooth aiming action, and a much more premium feel than I expected. Nothing major to complain about so far.
