Right out of the bag, these gloves make a strong first impression. The construction feels heavy-duty and purposeful, and you can tell just by handling them that they were made to take a beating. The cowhide leather palm is thick and tough, and the overall build quality is immediately obvious before you even put them on.The 3M Thinsulate lining is a big deal here. That's not a generic insulation fill, it's a name that carries real weight in cold weather gear, and you can feel the difference the moment you slip these on. Your hands stay warm and comfortable even in harsh conditions, which is exactly what you need when you're doing heavy work outside in winter.For anyone doing construction, truck driving, farming, or ranch work, these gloves check all the right boxes. The Velcro wrist closure keeps things snug and helps block out wind and debris, which is a nice practical touch. Winter is always tough when you're doing heavy labor outdoors. When working with wood or old rose vines, I always have to decide if I would rather stay warm or have my hands protected from splinters and thorns. I no longer have to choose! These work gloves are lined with a soft fleece and a layer of Thinsulate to keep you warm in the snow and freezing temperatures. Although it is still too warm outside to test the insulation quality, the name-brand Thinsulate reassures me that they will live up to expectations. For a pair of winter work gloves, they are relatively lightweight, so it is easy to bend your fingers when they're on your hands. The fingertip touchscreen material does not work great for a light touch, but it responds well to a swipe motion (and since the fingertips are bulky, you would not be typing out text, anyway).The entire glove is not leather, but the parts that are a medium brown on the palm of the hand are. This is where you most need the toughness that leather provides. I like the wrist strap to tighten the gloves around smaller wrists. I think they are a good value for what you get, and I look forward to trying them out when I'm clearing out some of those obnoxious multiflorae roses this winter.

Nice heavy gloves without being too bulky.They're made well and have reinforcement in all the usual places. At $22 (the current price point), they're a solid value for winter work gloves. The 3M thinsulate name still carries weight, even after all these years, and there's a reason for that. It works and keeps you warm without being overly thick.I grabbed the L since they're work gloves and didn't want to risk the dead space at the end of my finger. They're a little snug. The middle finger of the glove is three and a half inches from the knuckle at the hand to the tip of the finger. The full glove is about 9.25" long from the back to the tip.Even with the thinsulate, the gloves aren't very flexible yet. I know there will some that will come with wear, but gripping one of my smaller screwdrivers was a little cumbersome, but not impossible.The touch screen was added, I suppose, as a selling point, but it was spotty at best. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.Overall, a solid, quality work glove. Snug fit, and well made.

These are very warm. They feel like winter gloves. However, there is no leather/cowhide in these at all. The outer shell is a neoprene-like material and there is a strong vinyl where you see the brown parts. Then there is a more durable and grippy material sewn over the palms. They are well insulated and they aren't stiff to move around in. They will do very well in the winter as a more durable work glove. They fit well and are true to size. I wear a size L and these are spot-on. The are comfortable and the palm material has a good grip to it. The fingertip capacitive pass-through works on my phone. They are certainly clunky to use in that way, but I can open my phone and tap on any larger icons. There is no chance I'm typing out a message on the phone keyboard in these.

I ordered these gloves in an XL for my husband, but received a pair labeled as Medium. Since this was a Vine order, I’m unable to return or exchange them for the correct size. I’m not sure whether the wrong size was shipped or if there was an issue with the manufacturer’s packaging/labeling. I tried them on myself, and while they fit me reasonably well, they are still somewhat loose. I would probably need a Small for a better fit.The gloves appear to be well made overall. They feature 3M Thinsulate with a 100g Warm Thinsulate lining, and the reinforced palm is a nice feature. The inside is soft and comfortable. The cowhide leather does seem fairly thin, though, so my husband isn't sure these would hold up as a serious, heavy-duty work glove. Based on what we can see and feel, we'd consider them more of a light- to medium-duty glove.The fingers have touchscreen-compatible material, and I tested it with my phone. It does work, but the overall bulkiness of the gloves makes fine touchscreen movements difficult. I could see them being useful for things like answering or rejecting a call, opening an app, or dialing a phone number with larger keypad buttons. I don't think they'd be very practical for texting or other tasks requiring small, precise movements.We haven't been able to test their warmth in truly cold weather yet. It's currently about 109°F here, so I'll have to wait until winter to see how well the 100g Thinsulate performs in actual cold conditions. I don't want to speculate about warmth without testing them.Overall, these seem like good-quality gloves for general cold-weather use and light- to medium-duty activities. The main drawbacks for me was that I received the wrong size along with the bulkiness of the fingers, which limits dexterity and makes touchscreen use less practical. I'm giving them 4 stars based on the overall quality and features, with those limitations in mind.I've included photos and a short video so you can get a better look at the gloves, materials, and fit.

I got the large instead of the X-Large, so I may not use these as often as I'd like because of my error. I would suggest you might get a size larger than you usually use.Other than that, these offer quite a bit of protection for homeowner type tasks, such as yardwork, moving tree branches and shrubs, and even carrying heavy items that may cut your hands, such as metal posts and fence parts. I've seen other reviews stating that they probably aren't heavy duty enough for professional work.They offer quite good insulation as well. They are thicker and stiffer than a typical ski glove, which is to be expected. If you don't plan on doing a lot of work, these will work well keeping your hands warm in the winter. They don't have much in the way of wrist coverage unlike a ski glove, so keep that in mind. The wrist straps are great and will keep leaves and other annoying stuff from getting in the glove while you're working.Surprisingly, they actually (barely) work with touchscreens. I had to position my fingertips awkwardly to get my phone to register any gestures, and it only worked part of the time, but that is certainly surprising that you can get some response, considering how thick these gloves are.If you get the right size, these are a good buy.

I don’t really need warm gloves right now since it’s still summer, but I saw these available and figured it’s never too early to get ready for colder weather. I have a few pairs of cold weather gloves already, mostly for snowboarding or lighter gloves for everyday use, but I didn’t have a good insulated pair meant for working outside.I would say the sizing is accurate based on the measurement guide. They feel nice on, although they are a little bulky. That is expected with warmer gloves, and I would rather have a little extra bulk if it means my hands stay warm.Since it is not cold enough yet to fully test them outside, I did a quick test by grabbing something from my freezer that was too cold to hold for long with bare hands. I could barely feel the cold through these gloves. I held onto it for a while to see if the cold would eventually come through, but it really didn’t.The touchscreen fingertips work well too. Just keep in mind that the fingertips are larger with the gloves on, so using your phone takes a little adjustment. They seem well made, and seeing the 3M label gives me more confidence in the materials. The gloves did have a pretty strong chemical smell right out of the bag, but it faded quickly.Overall, I’m happy with the quality for the price and look forward to seeing how they hold up when I’m hauling firewood around this winter.

Picked up these gloves to try out. As anyone who uses work gloves knows, gloves are a consumable wear item when you're really working.I've put these through two tests so far:-Cleaning up the property from storm damage / fallen tree limbs. About half a day of work-About 2 days of wood construction framingAfter all of that, I've got nothing but good to say about them. They're plenty thick for puncture protection against typical screw and nail tips poking through. The reinforcement pads are in perfect spots - they should help extend the life of these gloves. The reinforcement pads are also plenty grippy for smooth studs.They do seem a little stiff at first, but after an hour or so of use, they broke in to an excellent fit to the marked size. Zero issues grabbing hammers and manipulating nails. I can confirm the touch screen capability works, even with a screen protector on the phone.I will stress the word winter in the glove title. These are lined with a very smooth insulating material and they will keep your hands nice and toasty. I'll say due to the timing of getting these (late summer), I had to test them in the heat but these are absolutely ideal for winter use.Id certainly reccomend these to anyone needing a robust cold weather glove.
