Fireproof Wall Safes Between the Studs

Safe is light weight (no concrete) and fits between two studs very nicely. The means to attack to studs is provided in the way of anchors and screws. (5th picture) A code and keys are found in the orange bag that sticks out to first open the safe.Instructions were clear to setup the combination with the exception that the required button to press to set up an up to 10 digit code was red not green. It was the only button so easy to figure out. The rest played out perfectly per instructions and success was immediate. There is a location to safely hang keys on the rear of the door. I strongly suggest to not put the safe keys in there. That would defeat their purpose. You can always open the safe with keys regardless of battery status or remembering combination. The battery compartment behind the door does not take too much room as well. Overall a well built safe / safety box.The safe comes with a fireproof bag as seen in the last two pictures. The rest is not fire, water nor smoke proof at all. This safe is to simply hide your stuff in and make it very difficult for anyone to gain access. This is kind of great to locate behind a picture to hide it. It is much safer then having your stuff laying in a drawer or shoe box. The metal is high gauge and although on the lighter side for a safe, it is quite sturdy.Overall this is fairly priced item and convenient safer storage for most people.

I was pleasantly surprised at how thick the door actually is for the safe and it provides a decent amount of weight. When closed the door is tight allowing a bit of protection from somebody trying to insert prybar 2 open it up. Having the thick door will also add resistance slowing a thief down when trying to open. As much as a benefit as the door weight is it is also a downfall as the safe does not provide a an easy to grip handle allowing you to open the door easily. All of the surfaces on the front are flat and just do not provide a good grip surface to open the door. Additionally the safe is marketed as an in wall safe where the nominal stud difference allows 14 1/2 inches the safe falls a bit short and is only 14 inches wide so be careful measure twice and ensure you have a filler piece to build out the extra half inch inside of the wall.The quality of the safe is good the material fills nice and thick and the fact of it being an in wall saved allows you to mount it almost anywhere making it a concealed option. I like that the dual unlock method works well and is quick to unlock when needed.The price for the safe is good especially when you consider the fact that it can be concealed and hidden almost anywhere allowing for a true safe space.

I got this in-wall safe because I wanted somewhere secure to keep important papers and a few valuables without having a regular safe sitting out in the open. I really liked the idea of installing it between the wall studs, and overall I'm very happy with how it turned out.The safe feels pretty solid for its size. The door and locking mechanism feel sturdy, and the digital keypad is easy to use. Setting up the code wasn't difficult, and I like being able to get into it quickly without having to keep track of a key every time. Having a backup way to get in is also nice just in case there's ever an issue with the keypad or batteries.Installation does require a little more work than just buying a regular safe and setting it on the floor, but that's expected with an in-wall model. Definitely take your time measuring before cutting into your wall. You also want to make sure you know what's behind the drywall before you start cutting. Once I had the opening figured out and found the studs, the rest of the installation was pretty straightforward.What I really like is how little room it takes up. Since most of the safe sits inside the wall, you don't lose closet or floor space. It can also be placed somewhere that isn't immediately obvious when someone walks into the room. You could even put something decorative in front of it if you wanted it to be less noticeable.The 17.7-inch size is good for the things I wanted to store. There's enough room for important documents, cash, jewelry, small electronics, and other personal items without the safe itself being huge.I also like the convenience of the digital keypad. I can get into it fairly quickly when I need something and then lock everything back up when I'm finished. That's much more convenient for me than having to find a key every time.One thing I would point out is that this isn't the same thing as a giant commercial or bank safe, and I wouldn't expect it to be. For me, the biggest advantages are keeping valuables secured, keeping them out of sight, and adding another layer of protection compared to leaving things in a drawer or closet.Overall, I'm really happy with this safe. It feels sturdy, the keypad works well, and installing it between the studs gives you a nice clean setup without taking up valuable space in the room.If you're comfortable doing a little installation work and want a smaller safe that can be hidden inside the wall, this is a really nice option. Just measure everything twice before you start cutting!

I chose this wall safe specifically for one of the studio/storage outbuildings we plan to put on our property. It hasn’t been permanently installed yet, but I’ve inspected it carefully and I’m pleased with what I see.The size is particularly useful because it is designed to fit between standard 16-inch wall studs, allowing it to be recessed and concealed rather than taking up valuable floor or shelf space.It feels solid and well constructed, with two adjustable shelves, an interior LED light, digital keypad plus emergency key access, and an alarm that activates after repeated incorrect password attempts. I also like that it includes a fireproof/waterproof bag for documents and other items needing an extra layer of protection.You cannot put a price on protecting your valuables whether it be jewelry or cash or documents. So when you think about what this item costs versus what you get back from it, the value for money is priceless.For my intended purpose, the combination of compact size, concealed installation and usable interior storage makes this a very practical little safe. Based on what I can evaluate prior to permanent installation, I'm very pleased with it.

The obvious best feature of this safe is the fact that it can be easily concealed with something like a mirror or a piece of wall art. Once it’s installed between the studs, there really isn’t anything sitting out in the room that would immediately tell someone there’s a safe there. That was the main reason I liked the idea of an in-wall safe in the first place. It also makes good use of space that would otherwise just be inside the wall. The interior is fairly shallow, which is expected with this type of safe, but there’s still enough room for documents, cash, jewelry, and other smaller valuables. The two shelves can be removed or repositioned depending on what I’m storing, and I like the hidden compartment at the bottom for anything I want a little less obvious even after the safe is opened. The keypad is convenient for everyday access, and there are physical keys included as a backup. Installation takes some planning because you need to make sure you have the correct stud spacing and that there isn’t wiring or plumbing where you plan to cut, but once the opening is prepared, the safe itself is pretty straightforward to mount. I also like that it comes with a fireproof and waterproof document bag for anything particularly important. Overall, the concealment is really what makes this most useful for me.
