I ordered these hinges to put in cattle gates in the pasture. They came well packed with a pair of chain link gate hinges and long screws included. The weld spots were very good and the hinges are solid though the pins were 2/3 the length of the hinge on the gate. During the installation process, I realized that these hinges are good for perfectly set square posts, not farm posts that are crooked or slightly leaning where traditional gate pins are much better since you can partially screw/unscrew them to adjust the gate. With these pins, you can't easily adjust the gate, so it's leaning one way or the other. The chain link gate hinges are good quality and a good addition but since I am not installing a chain link gate, I won't be using them, though they may come in handy one of these days. Workmanship is good and price point is reasonable.

These hinges are quite sturdy and fit TIGHT. It's almost a challenge to get the pin into the socket, but once it snaps in place, it pivots cleanly and without any hesitation or catching points. The screws included are a step up from the regular wood screws. Definitely a solid choice for mounting a pipe gate or a homemade wattle hurdle gate.

This seems to be very strong construction The plate is 3/32 and the pin is 5/8 dia -- so very robust.The lag bolts are beefy to match.The pipe connection is 1 1/2, which may be too small depending on what size your gate is. Be sure to measure

Seem Heavy Duty and Functional. At $19.99 for a two-pack, these are competitively priced. Similar galvanized farm or chain-link gate hinge sets typically sell in the $14–$25 range, so this lands right in the middle of the market.This is good standard gate hardware. The welds are a little rough and don’t run all the way across on the flat section, but they should be sufficient for general-duty use. I believe they’d even handle a 12-foot farm gate without issue. The galvanized coating looks okay, though it doesn’t appear as durable or uniform as the commercial-quality hardware currently on my 15-year-old chain-link fence.I’ll be using these to replace the hardware on one of the 10-foot perimeter gates on my property. The included lag bolts should be fine for lighter gates, but I’m going to upgrade to through bolts for my gate for better long-term security. These Farm Gate hinges are clearly the solution to our garden gate. The part with the plate can attach to the four inch posts, and the other section will clamp to the gate. The way its designed, the gate weight will hold it onto the hinge, yet it can easily be lifted up and removed which it will be much of the time. All in all, a very strong, well made and versatile hinge.
