This two station sheet metal roller bender is a compact, handheld tool designed able bend clean profiles in standing-seam roofing, drip edges, and flashing. It's pretty straightforward to use once I figured it out, as it rolls continuously along the edge to shape panels of virtually any length. The dual-station setup provides superior stability over single-roller models, preventing wobble and keeping long bends straight. Getting a tight ripple-free bend requires several passes, and it does require a straight edge to navigate -- no curves or radiuses in the sheets.Despite that slight learning curve, its lightweight and portable and is great for bending flashing or drip edges that need replaced.

I had never seen a 2 Stations Metal Bender, and assumed it would be more like a press brake: set the angle, clamp the metal sheet, flip the levers, and the sheet comes out with a perfect bend. When I opened the package and found that this tool was nothing like that and didn't come with instructions, I did a quick web search and found plenty of videos showing how to use the tool. You'll need a way to clamp the workpiece because this tool is heavy and requires skillful use of both hands.

Also, be sure to check your material thickness and working width before buying, as this is a compact, specialized tool rather than a full-sized sheet metal brake.Overall, it’s a sturdy, practical tool for small metalworking and roofing jobs. You'll want to experiment a little if you need a precise depth due to bend radius.2] place tool on metal. The sloped roller is the inside of the bend so you can go past 90 degrees.3] roll back and forth while applying light pressure in the bend direction. You'll immediately see the crease line forming.note the tool makes a bend parallel to the edge the rollers are riding on. If you can't cut a reasonably straight line, you won't get a crisp bend.I got the tool to make lengthwise bends in 24ga standing seam roofing (I'm not bending 12'+ with hand seamers or a hem folder because I'm lazy). The tool worked so easily and effortlessly that was using it to fold the hem ... it was a little slower but more fun than using the standard hemming tool, and since it rode on the factory edge the fold was parallel every time.seating the hemmer to the fold line this created and finishing the bend to nearly 180 degrees was simple.I now also have the ability to make some flashing quickly.

This is an interesting tool for sure and it has the ability to make bends along an entire sheet of steel.The trickiest thing about this tool is being able to hold the tool and workpiece in one place so you have a uniform and controlled bend. In order for me to get a good solid straight bend I had to hold the bender with both hands making sure the tool was fully pressed down to the guide. You also have to hold the material down so that it doesn't bow or walk around when you are rolling back and forth. If you have a table with a set of dog leg clamps or a heavy sheet on top than you will find the process fairly easy. If not you may find yourself buying more material to try again.The guide is super easy to adjust and you can crank it as tight as you want with the thumb screws. The guide bars and wheels also align well so you don't have to fight the tool as you are creating a bend. With that said, there is not a way to know the bend angle you are creating. There isn't a dead stop like a traditional press brake. In order to bend the sheet you will be walking back and forth bending little by little until you reach your desired bend. It does leave some scoring marks from the wheels so keep that in mind if you are bending something soft like aluminum or if you are doing a multi-bend piece, you will see a line in the bend.

I’ve used a siding press brake a few times, and this roller station is more work and takes quite a bit more time to do the bends and set up, but if you only have a few bends to do on 7.5” or less wide material, this will work great for you. This was an unbelievably good value for the money! Based on bearings, and good quality machining and accurate assembly, this is great to have around for occasional use. I've seen similar models to this sheet metal roller that allow bending a 90° angle on sheet metal used as copping around doors and windows. I learned a lot watching YouTube videos and it makes sense to bend more to a full 100° to persuade the seams to stay flat along the edges. This allows the metal to clasp and pull the edges down tights before attaching with stainless or aluminum nails or applying a trim piece on top of the sheet. It handles 7-in material that is good enough for what I'm using it for in my capping project. Really nice tool for a great price!

This metal roller made my sheet metal fabrication a breeze. Engineering is obviously a strong point when I can set a depth, slide it on a piece of sheet metal, and in 45 seconds have a perfect corner bent all the way across my sheet metal. The 0–100-degree angle capability is another plus for this device.After watching the video provided on their product description it was super simple to set the desired height, install the machine, and operate the machine until the bend was perfect all the way across the sheet. In my photos you can see the process and my set up. Plus, I included a photo of the finished bend, and it is so straight it is hard to see in the overhead photo.The roller has high-quality bearings that just flow as you roll the bender.
