The ceiling fan light has five brown blades and six speed settings. I like that the fan and the light work separately, so I can turn on only the fan or only the light when needed. Installation was easy, and the controls are simple to understand.

I got this smaller-sized fan for my kids' loft since it tends to run warm up there, and it's turned out to be a great fit. We went with the brown blades to match the furniture, but I like that they're reversible in case we ever want to move the fan somewhere else, like my husband's man cave, where black would probably be the better match.Installation was easy for my husband, though we did have the advantage of already having the loft wired for a ceiling fan when we built the house. Once it was up and running, I was impressed with how quiet it is. Full speed is pretty intense, so we usually keep it at level 3 or 4 out of 6.The app control has been one of my favorite features. I can control the fan from my phone if the kids lose the remote control, which given our history with the TV remote is a real possibility. The light has three color options and we mostly stick with the warmer, cozy setting, sometimes the neutral one, but rarely the daylight setting since it feels too sharp for the space. The timer is another nice touch. We set it to turn off automatically after a few hours so it's not left running all night if the kids leave the room and forget about it.The loft stays pretty warm so we'll probably leave the direction alone, but it is nice that we can reverse flow to help circulate the room.At $46, this was a great value compared to similar fans at other retailers. Between the app control, the timer, and the light options, it has more going for it than I expected at this price.
