The LEOPO Folding Shelf Brackets were well packaged and there were no defects or scratches on them. They fold and unfold with a solid click and seem sturdy.I can see two problems with the brackets. In order to get the shelf level, you should obviously use a level when setting the second bracket. As often happens, you may drill a hole just a little, teeny, weeny bit off center, causing the second bracket to not sit level with the first. The engineers should have provided at least one slot so the bracket could be adjusted just ever so slightly, screw tightened, and then the other holes drilled and everything would be hunky dory.The second issue is (as other commenters have also noted) is that the brackets are not square. In fact they open to about 92 to 93 degrees. (See photo). If you were to mount the shelf, your marbles and other round items (drill bits, pencils, screws) would roll towards the wall. Of course the solution is to shim the bracket, but then the bracket would not be in full contact with the wall.Overall, if you're willing to get a set of brackets that are not square and may be difficult to mount perfectly level, they may suit you well.

I ordered this LEOPO 4pk 16 Inch Folding Shelf Brackets because I’m in the process of organizing my garage and am looking to maximize space.I am familiar with this style of shelf bracket and I’m a big fan of them. They are strong and if I need to fold the shelf down then I have that option.I used two brackets to make a 48”x16” wooden shelf above my water heater and clothes dryer. I needed something to organize a cluttered area and set a water heater expansion tank on. It has replaced a corner style white metal shelf that is barely hanging onto the wall with drywall anchors.The brackets come with 1-1/2” screws & basic drywall anchors but I didn’t use them for this project. I fastened them to the wall with 2-1/2” wood screws because I wanted to anchor the brackets into wall studs for extra strength. These brackets do not come with instructions but the installation is easy. I marked where I wanted to mount them on the wall with a level and a stud finder. I screwed the shelves into the wall then I sat the shelf on top of the brackets and used 1/2” wood screws to secure the shelf to the brackets.I am very happy with this order because of the strength and quality of these shelf brackets. As a repeat customer I can highly recommend this product.

I think it's great so far.I'm using it for extra support for my new Murphy desk, because I know my grandchildren will put their weight on it when it's open, and I don't want them to break it. It appears to be quite sturdy and it's very easy to install and operate. I just used one and put some furniture protectors on the end to not scratch my wood on the desk.
