Really like this bump cap insert. It gives me that extra bit of protection without having to wear a full hard hat when the job doesn’t require one. It fits nicely inside a baseball cap and doesn’t feel overly bulky or heavy.The ventilation is a nice touch, especially when working outside, and the lightweight design makes it comfortable to wear for longer periods. It’s a simple idea, but definitely useful for anyone working around low ceilings, equipment, or anything where you might bump your head.Great little piece of safety gear that I’ll definitely keep using

I like the idea of having some basic head protection without having to wear a full-size hard hat, and this bump cap insert works really well for that. The ABS shell feels sturdy, while the padding on the inside keeps it from feeling like I just have a piece of hard plastic sitting on my head. It’s lightweight and comfortable enough that I can actually forget I’m wearing it after a while.I can see this being especially useful when I’m working around the house, in the garage, or doing projects where I’m crawling under or around things and there’s always that chance of banging my head. The soft inner lining is comfortable and helps with sweat as well. Obviously, I wouldn’t consider this a replacement for a real hard hat when one is required, but for everyday protection from those annoying bumps and knocks, I really like it.

I've never owned a bump cap before but this one seems really good. It has good coverage and stays put inside my baseball cap without slipping off my head. The cushion is soft and does seem to work against light to medium impacts on the skull. It's not a hard hat and shouldn't be used like one but it will help when working in tight spaces where you have a tendency to sit up and bump your head on a low beam or ceiling. I've seen it suggested that it would be a good addition to a prepper kit as a sort of under cover riot protection for civil unrest. I'm not sure it's meant to withstand a baseball bat or police baton to the head, but it's an interesting thought. It's easy to take in and out of the hat and fits easily in just about any baseball style hat without falling out.Good value and good quality product. Would recommend

Working at a warehouse I usually amzooming around in our forklift, but there are times I have to shift things around on those pallets. And man, it feels like every time I wack my head into the front crossmember! So when I saw this I figured I would give it a try. (especially since I wear ball caps all the time!)In my photos you will see that I tried it in 2different hats. A traditional cotton 6 panel (the lighter gray hat), and a newer nylon n' mesh hat (slightly smaller) The bump insert fit my 6 panel cotton ballcap very well. I was able to secure it by tucking the edges under the sweatband. The bump insert padding started just above the sweatband.The nylon and mesh hat (my fav for wearing at work on hot days) being slightly smaller did not fit as well, due to crown hight. If I decide to fit it to that hat I would just grind the bottom edge till it fits.Wearing.I wore it today for most of the day, mounted in the cotton hat. It is mid 80's today not too bad. I have a 7.5 size head and I found it fit well, firmly even, I prefer that as I don't like the feel of my hat falling off. It is gonna be warmer, I think if it is paired with a mesh sport style ball cap it would be cooler. $16 and no instructions. I had it on backwards till I looked at the listing. I had to watch the video ion the page to understand how to install it. An Instruction packet would have been nice. The shape of the back bottom part is odd. I had a hard time fitting it into my cap. Once installed, it did not sit right and made the cap look weird. This is not a hard hat, and it does not turn your ballcap into one. This for minor bumps. Overall, it better than nothing.

My husband tends to be accident prone whenever he’s working in a smaller space. He frequently completes a job with a bloody head due to hitting it on something. I was thrilled to find this and ordered it immediately. He wears a baseball cap anyway when he works so adding this for protection was a no-brainer. It is a great value for your money because you can move it from tap to cap and you’re gonna get your money back in Band-Aids alone!The outer shell is an ABS gable plastic to prevent collision injuries. The inside is made of a soft EVA material which will absorb energy generated by impact. The insert complies with CE EN 815 but no cap safety standards which probably makes a difference in a paid work environment. But my husband needed this for at home along with working on our boat. My husband said it’s extremely comfortable to wear and he doesn’t even notice the addition of the bump cap inside his baseball cap.

I got this lightweight hard hat liner for my daughter, she loves sailing, and it has been an absolute game-changer for us.The sail boom is a real safety hazard, especially for little kids. Man, I wanna say great things about this bump cap insert. The quality and comfort are very good. But my biggest gripe is that it doesn't actually fit hardly any of my baseball caps. It is too big. 😭First, the good.I don't play baseball, so I mostly use bump cap inserts as hat shapers so my hats look perfect all the time. I also wear them to protect my noggin when I'm doing home or automotive projects. So, I can definitely appreciate the protection they provide, not just the aesthetic appeal.I have a medium sized, more oval shaped skull, not a 'cueball' or very wide skull. I have tried several types of bump caps and the ones I've liked the best are the Skullerz brand. They're made of thinner plastic. The foam padding is small, thin and just a small patch on top. But they're still decent for light protection and they make good shapers, though they add a bit of weight.By comparison, this Tontron skin-friendly bump cap insert plastic material is almost twice as thick and sturdier than the Skullerz, without being much heavier. The liner padding is of much higher quality. It looks and feels much better. It covers most of the inside area, which is awesome. So, for protection and comfort I'd say the Tontron wins hands down.Now, the bad. They don't fit my caps! 😭The Skullerz inserts are more oval shaped, thinner, more flexible and able to be cut to size if needed. They include a guide for cutting when using with lower profile or smaller caps.These Tontron bump cap inserts are very wide, more like the 'cueball' shape skull. They are made of rather unyielding thicker plastic. They'll flex a bit, but the shape remains undisturbed. The bottom part is interestingly curved. There's no guide or instructions on how to cut them to size if needed. Due to the design and thickness, it would be difficult to modify them.I have about 14 baseball caps. Most of them are the standard one-size-fits-all adjustable M/L size, but some are a bit larger than others. I tried the Tontron bump cap inserts on all the adjustable cap sizes I have and they simply won't fit. 🥲The only hat I was able to use it on was an Under Armor L/XL fitted hat which is made of very stretchy fabric. The Tontron insert fits rather perfectly inside this hat. But it stretches the material to where it's noticeable on the back. I'll still use it, though! (See photos)The verdict: if you have a larger skull, and especially if more perfectly round than oval, AND you have very large baseball caps (or at least stretchy L/XL size), these Tontron inserts are likely the best inserts out there. The cost for the quality is also good.But if you have a medium or smaller skull and use standard or smaller sized hats, either be prepared to try to modify these inserts or look elsewhere, unfortunately.I did some research and discovered Tontron does make other style bump cap inserts which are sized small/medium/large. Some are even sold with matching size caps.I'm glad to have found this brand. Considering the quality of this bump cap insert, I'm definitely going to explore some of their other products.Maybe they forgot to note this particular product is for L/XL size? Hopefully, they'll update the product information soon, as this would be very helpful info.
