Recently bought a new house and the person who owned it before us put in chrome everything! Including light fixtures that were not my style. We have 10 foot ceilings and I was worried this would be too small but it’s puts out and incredible amount of light and it’s adjustable. The night light feature (amber colored) is a nice perk too. Wish I could dim it a little more though. Other than that a solid fixture. Hopefully will hold up over time!

Installation was simple and took only a few minutes, especially with the built-in tether line that holds the fixture while you wire the junction box. The slim, low-profile design sits flush to the ceiling and looks clean in a bedroom. The main light gets plenty bright to fill the entire space, and being able to smoothly adjust the color temperature and brightness with the remote is very convenient. My favorite feature is the separate warm amber backlight on top. It gives off a soft, relaxing glow against the ceiling that is gentle on the eyes late at night without being blinding. It is a well-designed, versatile light that works exactly as described.

This is a review of the 12 inch light with remote control and built-in nightlight feature. I installed this myself and found it incredibly easy to install compared to other light fixtures. The ceiling plate is plastic, but since the fixture is light-weight it feels adequate to the task. I appreciate the build-in metal tether line that allowed me to hang the fixture from the ceiling plate while attaching the wires. It freed up both of my hands and made the task of securing the wires much simpler. The fixture has an ETL certification and seems to be well made. I am surprised that it does not have a grounding wire, but since it is on the ceiling where no one ever touches it, this doesn’t concern me. My previous house was older and none of the ceiling fixtures were grounded anyway. The electrician I used while living there felt that there was too little risk to justify rewiring the ceiling fixtures.Now that this light is installed, I really like how it looks and functions! The remote control requires two AAA batteries. It allows me to easily adjust the brightness and color temperature of the light or to set it to the nightlight setting. The nightlight setting turns off the main light and instead casts an amber light from behind the fixture onto the ceiling as shown in my photo. It creates a really nice ambience! If I turn the light off using the wall switch, it will retain whatever setting I have it on when I use the switch to turn it back on again. I think this fixture is an excellent value for the price. It would be especially good for a child’s room because of the nightlight feature, but an adult could find the feature useful also.

This is a very nicely designed product! It is super low-profile, making it perfect for low ceilings or areas where you may not want the lighting to stand out. It has a night light halo around the top of the light and a multi-function remote control that has timers, color temperature and dimming. I like that it can be dimmed without the need for a separate dimmer.The product has fully illustrated, step-by-step instructions that clearly guide you through the installation. It comes fully assembled.The product has no ground wire, which is acceptable if it is entirely made of non-conductive materials. And, it does appear to be. But there is no mention of whether that is true or not in any of the information provided about this light. It is ETL certified (stamp is on the back of the fixture), so I assume it is non-conductive based on that alone.**But it is very important to note that in step 4 of the instructions it says, " UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN THE LAMP BE INSTALLED ON THE SURFACE OF ORDINARY FLAMMABLE MATERIALS, AND IT IS NORMAL FOR THE LAMP TO SLIGHTLY HEAT UP DURING USE." Drywall is not considered flammable, but old ceiling tiles and wood ceilings could be. So please be aware of this and decide if this will work for you depending on your ceiling surface.

This is a very attractive 12-inch flush-mount ceiling light that leaves just enough space between the rim of the light and the ceiling for a beautiful nightlight to emerge. It has a 1800° Kelvin 6 W built-in nightlight.The manufacturer suggests that this type of light might be appropriate for a children’s bedroom or for a living room. Night lights are very important in children’s bedrooms because children occasionally leave toys or clothing on the floor on their way to the bathroom to get a drink of water or to go to their parents' room. A good way to avoid falls and injuries of your children in their own bedroom is to have a slight nightlight and this very dim 6 W light we give the room of a warm glow at night, which would be comforting and relaxing for your children and make them feel secure as sometimes total darkness can lead children to believe that there might be other creatures looking in their room through their imagination, which in children can be sometimes very overactiveThis is a hard-wired light, easy to install. If you already have a junction box in the ceiling, I always like to discuss several caveats before you do the wiring yourself if you’re not going to hire a licensed electrician.The first thing I would recommend is that you make certain you’ve turned off the power to the junction box you’re going to work on. The circuit breaker for the home is typically located in the basement. If your home does not have a basement, it’ll probably be located in the garage. The best way to turn off a circuit breaker is to have. Stand by the light that you’re going to replace, assuming you already have one in there that’s working, and wait until you turn it off. They can talk to you over the cell phone to let you know when you’ve turned off the correct light. When they suggest you’ve gotten the correct light, turn the circuit breaker on and off two or three times to make sure that you have the right light, and they can see the flashing light going on and onThe second thing I’d recommend is to take a separate electrical testing device or a voltage meter, and before you start work on these junction boxes, use that secondary device to make certain that all the power in the junction box has been turned off. I always use a little electrical device. It looks like a pen; it’s battery-operated. You push a button on top, and the white light turns red. If you bring the tip of the pen near a wire that’s encased, it starts flashing and tripping like a bird. If I put it near a 240 V clothes dryer cable, it will chirp twice as fast and flash; the light will flash twice as fast, warning of the dangerous electrical hazard.The final advice I would give you before you endeavor to do your own electrical installation is to use the wire lock nuts properly to connect wires after you follow the manufacturer's instructions and thread the house service wires through the install plate, securing it to the junction box. You would take the black wire from the house service side and make sure the last half centimeter of insulation has been removed. You also remove the last half centimeter of insulation from the fixture, replace the two points adjacent to one of the points in the same direction, and cover both of the points of the wire lock. Place the lock nut over the two points and turn clockwise until firm. A mechanical and electrical connection has been established. You’ve done the same thing with the white wire and the green wire. The green wire surrounding wire is probably not going to be connected to a bare copper wire coming from the fixture.Have you done this? You can connect the canopy to the light itself. This has a simple twist-on connection. So once you've connected the wires, you can connect the install plate, which is large in this case, to the junction box with two simple number-eight machine screws, then tighten them fully. You didn’t take the light itself and give it a slight rightward twist, and it’ll secure itself to the ceiling.
