Fabric and metal combination creates a modern and cozy feel. 4 standard size bulbs, bulbs have to be changed from above due to the fan, which is slightly tricky but not a deal breaker. The bottom tier is a separate piece that hooks onto the round wire at the bottom of the base. We had to adjust ours a little because when the fan was turned on it created a slight rattle. No issues since. The fan moves air well outside of the 20” diameter of the fixture., and like most fans it can be set to go either direction. The remote works well, e just attached it to the wall and operate the light with the remote in the holster. There are two size down rods included, installation was straightforward and we are per happy with it. I might find something I like better down the road but for now this is nice looking.

Though this was particularly difficult to install on a slanted ceiling with the shorter rod, it does function and looks really nice. I sort of expect light fixtures to be difficult to install though ,as most are. The fan is fairly quiet and comes on at a medium speed by default. I like that it defaults to light on with the switch on as well. The breeze it provides is nice and it doesn't bobble at high speeds even on my slanted ceiling, like I see some other fans doing. This is installed in my living room on a wood ceiling and there was already a fixture hole similar to a can light size already in place so the mounting didn't require installing a box or anything. I was surprised at the remote as it looks/feels a bit cheap compared to the fandelier, also there is no manual control of the fan so if you lose the remote you are up the creek without a paddle. The lights I used are 10w equivelent, and this takes 40W max bulbs so it could be quite a bit brighter. Overall the design works well with my mid century modern type house and other fixtures. Would recommend. The instructions left a bit to be desired, even though there was a breakout diagram, it fails to show the control box in place above the half ball joint. Also note that the 2 screws above the pin on the rod did need to be removed in order to move the housing/cover up and over the wires, then secured again.

This caged ceiling fan caught my attention because it looks more like a decorative light fixture than a typical fan (like you almost can't tell that there is a fan inside!). Airflow feels smooth and the motor stays quiet enough that I would be comfortable using it in a bedroom or nursery. The timer is another nice touch for nighttime use. I also appreciate that the light uses standard E26 bulbs, so I can choose the brightness and color temperature I want instead of being stuck with a built-in LED. The included downrods give some flexibility with mounting height too. Bulbs are not included, which is worth knowing ahead of time. Overall, the mix of design, quiet operation and control options makes this feel like a good value. This is best for someone who wants a ceiling fan that also works as a decorative focal point.
