This lamp is absolutely whimsical. It immediately reminded me of those strange little scenes in the margins of medieval manuscripts where knights are fighting giant snails, which honestly makes me love it even more.It is beautiful in person and gives off a very warm, cozy light. The lamp has a nice weight to it, feels substantial, and is a good size for an accent lamp. The stained glass looks lovely when illuminated and gives it much more character than a typical decorative light.It did come out of the box feeling a little sticky, but the manufacturer includes a note explaining that this is mineral oil used on the stained glass, along with a cloth for wiping it down. After cleaning it, that wasn't an issue.Overall, this is a charming, well-made little lamp with a lot of personality. It feels like an actual decorative object rather than just a novelty light, and the warm glow makes it especially cozy.

This snail is absolutely charming! I think it will get a lot of attention and feedback from everyone that sees it. It’s sometimes the little gorgeous things that are an “extra” that get all the attention. This is such high quality and I love that it comes with an LED bulb for it too. I think if you like tiffany lamps I think you will love this item so much! Great for a kitchen window or even a cute little sunporch.

I got this to use on a living room table as an accent lamp. The craftsmanship is beautiful, stained glass construction that reminds you of a tiffany lamp. The lamp does require a few steps for assembly… all very intuitive, though. The instructions mention that the lamp is covered in a protective, oil coating. Two cloths are provided to wipe the oil clean… and they do a nice job of removing the oil!Overall, I would rate this as five stars and would recommend this to a friend.I hope you find this information helpful.

This is a really cute and unique item that adds to decor while providing the utilitarian function of lighting. Lamp includes an LED light bulb. The lighting provided contributes to relaxing ambience and isn't enough light to do something practical such as read by.Very slight assembly required to attach the base to the glass lampshade, simply requiring applying two washers and nuts by hand.Especially considering the cost, there were some slight quality issues that made this lamp feel as though shortcuts were taken in the finishing: some areas of the glasswork, the material that joins the pieces of glass together, appears a bit sloppy. Once it's assembled and in use though, it's doesn't seem noticeable.Additionally, one of the bolts was bent on the lampshade and I was unsure if I could bend it back and assemble the lamp. Luckily I was able to bend it without breakage. There are many tags on the lamp cord, they are crumpled and it also gives a cheaper feel. The tags do have useful info, and I'll remove for aesthetic.Once it's put together, the lamp is super cute. The genuine colored glass and obvious hand crafting feel beautiful and ultimately create an elevated feel.

Because of that experience, I can really appreciate the craftsmanship that went into this little snail.It is inspirational. The stained glass was assembled with care and done extremely well. The colors and textures come alive when illuminated, creating a wonderfully warm glow. Even when it isn’t lit, the combination of the stained-glass snail and its base makes it a small work of art that complements the home beautifully.There is something wonderfully joyful about this lamp. It is whimsical without looking cheap or gimmicky, and I can see the craftsmanship and dedication that went into creating it.
